I can't honestly say that the idea never crossed my mind, but I think Lucky's post was more of a warning than anything else.
I've already stated what team I was going to play. See the posts about Jeff Loeb and him ruining the Ultimate universe. In fact, I think I even posted the team several pages ago to get some feedback on it.
The post was more of a friendly reminder that it's ok to bring whatever without fear of getting overpowered. The feel I get from everyone who goes to LSoM is they don't feel like playing uber power chess matches.
...Except Eric. Who always says he wants to play one way, then tries to build the other way. But I keep him in check enough.
I found a figure that I want to mod. I was watching the new Batman The Brave and The Bold cartoon - I think episode 5 - wherein Morgan Le Fay turns Batman into a knight under her control to pull Excalibur from the stone. The armor looks very Azrael-like but in red and black - very cool. I saved the episode on TiVo. Whatever else is on the dial is not locked, but the end HAS to have Willpower since that is what ultimately breaks her spell on him.
I don't want to play a game of chess where dumb luck or money decides whether or not I get to use a rook... Collectibility is a necessary evil of Heroclix, not a boon.
I was thinking of bringing back some of my old faves from Legacy, Harvey balances out the team and gives Bat Ally to Persuader and Jinx (Lysa Dark is 1 point over and she has no TA)

Anythough of doing this next villians only game as a multiplayer royal rumble style?
And maybe random start positions for the figs? Just to spice things up?
I'm going to vote no. For multiplayer games lets stick to Cataan, Munchkin, or other board games.

I know these are some of your favorties, but maybe take the opprotunity to use figures you have never used before or in combination with before. Don't know how many more weeks we are going to have tourneys.
At the very least use the SR or Exp Sinestro. Gives some TK for Persuader.

Its about that time where either the game is saved or its not. The lack of news is killing the interest for me.

What he's getting at is not the Wizkids situation...It's MY situation.
I've been switched to swing shift for the forseeable future. And I work weekends. So this means the 2/21/09 tourney will be my last one scheduled utill further notice. We will have to see. Also, LSOM is moving in April. Will post here when I have more info.
Hey guys, sorry I haven't been on much, I'm still alive and surprisingly I've got a huge movement of playing HC at Action. I've long since handed out the last prize support and have started giving away my own stash, mainly my Marvel stuff. Action wanted to hire me to teach HC to some of their players, I laughed and said I'd do it for free (Of course when I' not working these 7 10'S)
At any rate the kids are interested inmega battle, Spectre, Galactus, Starro, etc so as soon as I get my weekends back we will play huge battles every sunday.
For those who are interested WoW minis is a really good game and UDE is putting out fantastic prize support for it. John has regular events at LoSM and Comic Oasis as well as Battlezone supports the WoW mini game.
if you read this then you lost 10 seconds you'll never get back.

When Lucky was thinking about a store on that very corner of the world, I often wondered if it would work there. Guess it does. Oh, well, a lost opportunity.

Corrected post.
I'll keep going at Premiere Comics. As I mentioned before, it is more like a family gathering playing for fun and everyone is on equal footing - very casual. As far as prize support, I'm thinking I'll buy one booster and let the players draw from the box - plus, it supports the venue.
