I think it was called Last Rites. There was a one issue cross over in Nightwing.
I read Last Rites, but don't recall anything about Batman "escaping".
Detective 851/Batman 684 - center around Nightwing
Batman 682 and 683 - Batman is locked in his head fighting off the human turd.
Detective 852/Batman 685 - continues the Hush/Catwoman arc started in RIP
Batman 686 - Last Rites header is dropped and starts the story wherein everyone - heroes and villains - tell their cherished memories (that never happened) while Batman observes as a disembodied spirit watching the proceedings.
I have not read the Nightwing issues that carried the Last Rites header, but I can't imagine the great escape is in there.
I don't want to play a game of chess where dumb luck or money decides whether or not I get to use a rook... Collectibility is a necessary evil of Heroclix, not a boon.
Guys it looks like I'm gonna have to cancel Saturday's tourney. I still work at 3pm and the issue is not getting to the Venue, its getting to work (at a resonable time) AFTER the tourney. So, I will post later when we will have a new tourney. Sorry to all.

Aaaaargh! Some things just don't change. Friday night. Ahab, with Psychic Blast, against DC Ares' Imperv. Ahab, with three probs to back him up. Ahab, with attack perplexed to 10. Four shots on target, then push for another four shots on target. Eight misses. The Curse of Jim lives on.

It seems that the HeroClix Ahab is both a physical and metaphysical allegory for your dicey situation.

Just want to point out the Ares' Defense Value is 19 on his first click. That is a target number of 9 or better that you need to hit. The odds of hitting that is extremely low.
Now with 8 tries, you should have rolled that at least once. Should being the opritive word as my math professor used to say. Each individual roll has the same low odds, no matter how many previous rolls you made.
I don't think you're cursed, just was a number most people wouldn't hit. When you did follow my & Mike's adviced and used (effecient) figs with higher AV's + combat pumps on your team, you owned. I have the pics to prove it.
And what is someone doing playing Ares at your venue anyway!?! I thought it was fun games with kids. Every now and again you have to remind them, "I taught you how to play this game and I am better than you".

David's kid is playing Ares. Another newbie likes 500 pt teams, so we are pulling out the beef. Mike (newbie) ran a Vet Icons Supes .
I played Ahab because my team for LSOM (before it got canceled) was an all Brotherhood team - I had it handy and played it against Ares. I thought I would hit at least ONE roll for 9!
I'm too lazy to research this, so I'm taking the easy way out.
I use a power action to turn Oracle's dial. ICWO says I can use Outwit, but not that I have it. Can this Outwit be outwitted? I'm thinking 'no'.
So, while on this train, what about Batman turning the dial. I have Outwit - can I add Outwit? ICWO does not appear to preclude this. I cannot use Outwit on top of my existing Outwit, but if my normal Outwit is outwitted - therefore I don't have it - I think I should be able to use my backup power tapped from Oracle.

Actually it could be Outwitted. Just like the Outwit gained by the SME TA.

Am I wrong (about these, not generally)?
I am 90% sure that you cannot have the same power twice. You would have to take her Leadership or Perplex instead.

This is the text from the Player's Guide.
When an Agent already has a power showing on its dial that Oracle has, it may not be granted that same power from Oracle.
Oracle grants the Agent the power that is showing on her dial. The power that the Agent has been granted can be countered. If the Agent is KOd, the effects of the power are lost.
I'll say this for Norm. He did streamline the FAQ's, Errata, and Rules Clairification Documents.
Thank you to both of you. It has been so long since using the gal in the wheeled chariot. I really thought I was fine on the first - not really on the second. As the signature says "Knowing is half the battle." One of our newbies wants to purchase an Oracle/ICWO from me.
