If you're saying the wall is adjacent to your attacking character, and the target character is non-adjacent then CW Iron Man can do it only because of Sharp Shooter. He is still making a multi-target ranged attack. Any other character still can't do it because you can't be given a close combat action and a ranged combat action at the same time.
Did I read your question correctly? I'm still not sure if I understand the question lol
I think so. I'm going to give a diagram a shot.

Iron Man (I) wouldn't be able to attack both Wolverine (W) and the middle wall, correct? (the "." are empty squares)

My innitial response was going to be yes, because he had sharpshooter he can make ranged combat in adjacency, but that was the old rule for Sharpshooter. With the new rules for sharpshooter due to the improved targeting; he can only make ranged attacks against "adjacent opposing characters". So I think that's what stops you. You can't use sharpshooter to make a ranged attack aganst an adjacent wall, because it isn't an opposing character, and thus not covered under the stipulations for Sharpshooter.
To the best of my knowledge and understanding of the rules this is how it would be. I will ultimately defer to Melkhor on all things rules related, but I am pretty sure this is correct.

CW Iron Man isn't a sharpshooter, but I think he can still make the attack.
Under the description for Ranged combat on page 10 of the new rulebook it says.
"A ranged combat action can be given to a character to activate a ranged combat attack that targets one or more non-adjacent opposing characters that are within range and line of fire"
The wall isn't a character, its just a target.
TATICAL TARGETING: When choosing targets for a ranged combat attack, Iron Man may choose both a character and an object, wall, or square of blocking terrain instead of a second character.
Iron Man isn't treating the wall like a character, its targeting instead of a character.
Iron Man's the only one that can dual target a character and something that's not a character due to that SP. I don't think there's any other character can do that.

Moves this to the rules forum so we don't spam up this thread
Ahhh yeah, I was thinking of the FF:CW Iron Man. I don't play Marvel much and the 37 Iron Men that came out recently run together Thanks for catching that.
Still though, I think his tactical targeting would require him to target a wall, object, or blocking terrain that would be legal for him to target with a ranged attack otherwise. And you can't make a ranged attack onto an adjacent wall.

Guys, think about it. In any instance, would being adjacent to a wall hinder you from making ranged attacks? It's totally fine. Only adjacent -characters- prevent ranged attacks. Can he make a ranged attack? Yes. Then, check what he can target.

*AHEM* Some of us have been up here on level 4 for a while now. You want to call yourself king, you better take it up with Hulk first!
Pretty sure the rules of the "League" style is that only one person is allowed to be on Level 4. (Plus the post on Page 1 still has you on Level 3) I beat the former King of the Hill, so I assume I take his post! (In those kits that Wizkids sent out, there was only room for one person to be at Level 4)
It actually kind of makes a difference, because the rules also state that if you are on Level 4, you can't make challenges only accept them. So if we are both on Level 4, we'll continue to just bicker at each other like old men fighting over whose tree that last leaf came off of and hit the lawn!
I do want to spell this out quickly though that all my chest-puffing talk in this thread is not a true indication of my personality. I have adopted a more cocky persona to fit the King of the Hill style of this league. It's kinda fun to have be able to trash-talk a little as long as we all know it is all in fun. Definitely no "yo mama" jokes though!
Also, on a seperate note, I think the idea that if you lost on Level 4, or even 3, that you go all the way down to Level 1 is pretty harsh, as you've only lost that one "challenge point", so you shouldn't be dropped to Level 1, just Level 3.
Maybe in future scenarios (as it wouldn't be fair to fix it mid-competition), we change that, and if it is a sealed scenario, you have the option of dropping down to Level 1 and taking new boosters, or dropping down one level and keeping the same ones.
Just a thought, because I could see a scenario where we paper/rock/scissor our way to no one ever being able to string 6 wins in a row! lol
The way the league is setup is based on the "Supremacy League" rules that Wizkids sent out with a kit to various venues that ordered them last year.
Or are you asking if we are now playing with the new Rulebook? (Which doesn't actually become the rules until June if I'm not mistaken, though that wouldn't really stop us from using them I suppose)

Found the RL rules:
Players with Fight! tokens can issue challenges (no more than one tier up) against players that DO NOT have a Fight! token. If the challenging player wins, they retain their Fight! token and swap board positions with their opponent. If the challenging player loses, both players remain where they were and the Fight! token goes to the winning player.
The player in the Champion’s tier can ALWAYS be challenged, no matter how many Fight! tokens they have. If a player defending the Champion’s tier loses, they do NOT swap board positions with their opponent, the winner moves onto the Champion’s tier (and loses their Fight! tokens) and the loser is moved to the Rookie tier and loses all but one of their Fight! tokens.
Players must complete at least one league game each week. Every Thursday, players that did not complete their minimum one game for the previous league week will be moved down one tier as follows:
o Champion tier » Rookie tier
o Veteran tier » Experienced tier
o Experienced tier » Rookie tier
o Rookie tier » Removed from the board
I agree that dropping to Rookie tier is a lot to fall if you can't win 3 in a row.
I absolutely agree on the 'falling all the way down is way harsh' concept, but yeah, definitely next tournament. It wouldn't be fair/would be really hard to adjust with that in mind.
Also, I'm thinking of making it only 2 wins at the top, as opposed to 3. 2 is a tall order as is, so it's not going to change much, but it might get us to a newer scenario faster.

Not a problem, in that case: I challenge jbship628! Hulk wants golden championship belt and comfy spot on top of mountain!
