I'm going through my Batman and Detective collections to see what I need. Adam West will be there on Friday and Saturday, so I MAY finally get the autograph of the man that got me started on my addiction. (I just read that your name has to be drawn for a position in the autograph line. C'mon, who else besides me even wants his autograph?)
Tyler and Nick are going to Comic Con. I'm going to wait until it comes to Vegas. *fingers crossed*
DUDE! Mayor West from Family Guy is going to be at Comic Con! Wow, I can see why they need to have a drawing for his autograph, that's huge. I didn't know you were addicted to Family Guy.
Black Guy - Made up for the movie and an excuse to have another rapper try to act.
Please do not take this as Pompus!!! How am I always the one that knows (even vaugely) this stuff and no one else does!?!? I am easily in the bottom 3 guys in Vegas who know the least about X-Comics. Yet I knew the above statement was wrong (sorry Lucky ) and no one else did?!?! Sure I am A COMICS KNOWLEDGE GOD! Surely Tim/Eric knew this? I know Tyler does!

I don't know what is going on with the links. They worked the first time I tried them...Not sure if the will lead you to the right page when you click on them.
Had a last minute clix game this weekend. The four of us went with a 2000 point game, last man standing. It started Saturday night around 8:30pm. It ended around 9:30am Sunday morning. I had my new Foom on my force, and it was a ton of fun having the largest target in the game. My lady liked having him on the board, because that meant fewer pieces were targeting her Dark Phoenix colossal this time.
The piece I ended up hating the most was the LE Thor with Power Cosmic TA. I just could NOT kill him. Emperor Joker had a great run. SI Hercules was the eventual Phoenix killer. Adam Warlock's double Perplex was abusing Foom. The Punisher was chaingunning anyone foolish enough to stand together. Devil Dinosaur kept kissing Foom, but couldn't scratch him. Illuminati Skrull was terrorizing at times. Bizarro hit his last click of 20 def late in the game and was buying everyone drinks. Overall a great time was had in place of decent sleep.

Cool. I'll keep an eye open for them. The odds are against me among 126,000 attending geeks, but I have run across others in past SDCCs quite by chance.
Regarding Vegas coming here, did you read the article I linked earlier? LA offering 1 Million sf of convention floor space for a flat $1,000 whereas Vegas has 2 Million sf for $2.5 MILLION????? These days, I only bet football parlay cards for fun, but I'd wager against Vegas Con anytime soon.

I knew about "pure West" on the Simpsons, but not about Mayor West on Family Guy. Oh, how he mighty have fallen. I guess there will be more autograph seekers than I thought. I think Keegan will not be able to attend, so I'll have two chances for autograph tickets each day. Wish me luck.
Alright! Finally in Vegas official, going to try to get into a game this week. I'm only 15 minutes from Comic Oasis, in theory, going to scout the area today.
The Inhuman of Team Vegas,
Black Bolt of the Vegas Illuminati
He already knows but I'd like to give a shout out to Mr. Musolino for hooking me up with an autographed Tec issue from JHWilliams3 and Rucka.
I had heard it was pure awesomeness (and it is) but I hadn't bought it. now..I think it's replacing Streets of Gotham despite my Manhunter loyalty.
Have to agree. I originally planned on boycotting Detective now that DC opted to feature Batwoman, but I decided to give it one look and glad I did. I may drop Dick and keep Kate.
Don't know if you recall me saying that I purchased the last page of that first story while at Alternate Reality during the signing. Today, I was offered $800 by Ralph, the owner of the store - I paid $600 just 10 days ago, so that 33% increase is doing better than my stock portfolio. Gotta love it!
I don't want to play a game of chess where dumb luck or money decides whether or not I get to use a rook... Collectibility is a necessary evil of Heroclix, not a boon.

I went by there today and they told me they weren't hosting Clix games anymore, were gonna remove it from the boards maybe till HoT comes out.
Is this news? Do you guys meet elsewhere for games?
Well, not much on this front since my work schedule changed.... However I will schedule a Saturday off/go in late now that I know that you are here. You available Saturday mornings 12pm to 3ish?
Hey guys. Just came back from a Best Buy run and have some info on the DVDs being released today.
Watchmen - Director's Cut:
There is 24 extra minutes of footage.
There are two sepcial features. One is a documentary on the comic itself and the impact on the industry. Second is an 11 part making of featurette.
No alternate or original ending.
No inclusion of Black Freighter.
I spoke with a guy who bought the DVD last night. The info inside says the "Ultimate Cut" which incorporates the Black Freighter into the movie will be released in Dec.
I'm guessing they're going to pimp this over the next year or so with various releases. Black Freighter included, one as a stand alone moive, special editions, etc. Personally I'm waiting for a more uber release.
Robot Chicken Star Wars Episode II:
Includes an extended version with about 20mins of extra footage
Over 90 mins of special features. RC standards like behind the scenes, alt audio, etc.
I liked the first special better. Laughed harder. It was more random scenes. This one kinda followed the path of the Emperor and the Bounty Hunters. Some good one-liners, but not that signture sketch like the Emperor's phone call from the first special.
Watchmen - Director's Cut:[*]No alternate or original ending.
They reviewed this on Attack of the Show and They said it had 2 alternate enings (including the original Comic Book ending).
They also said it has a special feature in which they scientificly explian how everything in the Watchmen Universe would actually work. Including Dr. Blueballs and his powers. Not sure what to believe.
