The music subreddit is a bit odd. There is some genuine good ideas/discussion or new bands to look into and then there are people who ask you to listen to their spotify list.

Yeah, I kinda just stopped going on the music subreddit because it was just too much work to filter through the nonsense and reposts.
Even with the reposts there are some nuggets hidden in them. I recently learned that the drummer from the band Threshold has a side project that's pretty good.
I also see some bands pop up that I have not given a listen to that people say are quite enjoyable. Top on that list is King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, they seem to get rave reviews.
Honestly, back in the heyday of this site it was nothing but nonsense and reposts as well.

My son absolutely loves KGatLW. I respect their musical abilities. They seem to be able to write and play in just about any genre. One thing they did that stuck with me and made my playlist was their Eyes Like The Sky album.
