Firestorm #10: First I'm unhappy that Ronnie is back and that Jolley is leaving. Of course, if you've been reading any thread, Firestorm-related for he last 10 months, then you already know that.
That being said, I thought that this was another fantastic issue. Jason and Ronnie have different abilities and it essentially takes both of them to beat killer frost. In the end, it looks like Jason will repair his relationship with his father, and Ronnie will probably take over his powers again.
It will be interesting to see how that works out. But my countdown begins with this issue.

1/6th of the Brothers Prob. '19-'20 Season: 15-13(8 events) 2 wins, 2nd XDPS PR 9-7, 7th SOC
Superman: Strength #2: Wow, just wow. This issue was slightly better than the last one. Fido allows Superman to get his body back to one piece, so that he can help some earthquake victims. however, he only lets Superman go, after Kal promises to come back, and become captive again. Fido then literally hands Superman's head to Luthor on a platter, as a gift, so that Luthor will accept him as a partner-which Luthor of course, turns down, pissing Fido off. All in all the only thing I really enjoyed about this issue was Jonathan's recounting of the first time Clark got to taste his powers, which was when he was 10, and he took off running, and ended up in Chicago before he lost them. At that time, his powers were showing glimpses, but only when the sun was out apparently. It's a good thing this is only 3 issues long...any more would be unbearable. BTW, the art is terrible! 2 out of 5
Superman/Batman #17: Well all the time jumping confusion is now over, thank goodness. But this was just an above average issue. Aside from the aforementioned Zatanna misspelling, the issue also alludes to Tommy Elliot being Hush, in another time. Superman is in a world where capes are dead, and Ra's rules. But he can't topple Ra's without help, so he seeks out Bruce, who's living life as he would've if his parents had not died. But Clark makes him remember that he interfered with his parents murder. After taking him to Crime Alley, Bruce remembers. They dig up Hal Jordan, Martian Manhunter, Aquaman, and The Flash, to back them up. When they confront Ra's he has the people who started this mess backing him up. I really hope that the final 9 issues of Loeb's run aren't a let down. this has been an awesome series up to this point, and I would hate to see his work tarnished now. 3 out of 5

Yes. And, if you'd've even bothered with reading this thread, much less the comics, you would better understand it, too.

I picked this book up with this story arc and I feel like DC owes me a HUGE refund....money and minutes of my life which I cannot now retrieve.
So, DC owes you money because you chose to jump on with a story that references a lot of other stories? Hmm. I don't think so.
Say, I jumped into the X-Men with Pheonix: Endsong. I had no clue that Jean Grey died (a dozen or so times). I had no clue what the Pheonix force was. All I know is that I don't know what's going on in this story. Is that Marvel's fault? No. It's mine.
How 'bout if I jumped into Avengers with the Disassembled arc. I have no clue who these characters are or why they're coming back and blowing up their friends. I have no idea why the Vision turns into Ultron. I have no clue who the aliens are that attack them. Is it Marvel's fault that I don't know what's happening? No. It's mine.
So, don't go blaming DC just because you haven't bothered to read any of the other 'big' Superman stories over the past 5 years. Don't blame them because you're too lazy to Google up the Superman Homepage and do some research on your own. Don't blame them because you can't even read the backstory when it's presented to you on the same page that you post your complaint about not knowing what's going on.
It's not DC's fault that your too lazy to figure it out.

JacinB, you are always so pleasant. May your children be struck with boils and may your mother die horribly.
Anyway, I read your post on this thread (and feel it is pathetic that one has to have a fellow comic fan explain a book just in order for the book to be understood), which was helpful (I just wasn't able to edit to add that thanks) and I recall the buildup to this series being that this was a great place to jump on board of the book. That to me says that a reader should be able to follow it from the get go.

Wow. You're a tough guy. I'm truly intimidated by the name-calling. No, really. I mean it.
And, for the record, if we were standing around the comic shop, and you had just listened to a conversation about what's going on in Superman right now -- including an in depth conversation about the backstory behind it -- and then still made the comment that you couldn't understand what was going on ... ?
Yes, I'd make those same comments to your face. And so would everyone else in the shop. And then we'd point fingers and laugh at you.

Yawn. I stick to my guns about your mother's horrible death...and heck let us throw in your wife's as well. I also stick to my guns on the fact that if a company says "this is a great place to jump on board"...then it should be a great place to jump on board.
If it makes you feel like you're bigger and tougher to wish ill on someone's family because you feel somehow slighted because that person dared to point out that it was your own faults, and not someone else's shortcomings, that have placed you in your current predicament ... ?
I would have to think that would make you a sad, pathetic, little thing. And, I must admit that I'm oddly intrigued that you've actually devolved to a level that to continue to label you as a 'man' would be in error.

Of course you are. Further evidence of your own slovenliness, and proof that my initial summation of you was correct.

Umm.. you wish ill things upon him and his family, and then complain one post later about name calling?
Can we all now hear from someone who isnt' remedial? Or shall we all use small words so as you can keep up and not resort to being a moron and a complete and total a-hole towards others who otherwise respected your opinion till you wished ill things upon his family?
