Thor looked pretty ticked off at the end of CW #3.
My best guess is that Thor is playing it neutral or that Tony Stark lied to him about Cap and the rest. And, if this is true-- when Goldilocks finds out-- I pity Tony.
Ultimate X-Men #72 - Rated 7 - The X-Men face off against some new foes. Jean is still messed up. Dazzler wakes up. And Prof X finds out that Magician's whole past is a sham. Good read but nothing overly special.
Hell, I thought it was a wee bit special. Not only is is Magician's past a potential sham, but someone that may not have been Nick Fury was the one that dropped him off. Of course, the whole "why don't you scan my mind" dialogue from Fury seemed like a thief who has shoplifted something, asking the security guard to search him while proclaiming his innocence.

I'd like to see Thor Vs Ironman. Something about a guy who can control lightening vs a guy in a metal suit would just make for an interesting tango.
Did I miss anything? How come everyone thinks that Thor is on the pro-reg side? I know blasting Herc was somehow an indication and there are other ways to make a grand entrance. But if Thor has to blast someone to get their attention then I would choose Herc instead of Tony and Cap, those two are probably the only two individuals that Thor respects, I don't see Thor blasting Tony and Cap to stop the fighting

[quote=nedleeds]I'll bend and give this one an 8. We all knew something was up with Magician and his crazy "do anything" powers, but the ending was still a cool twist. Does this guy map to some 616 villian ? Complete reality manipulation ? Proteus ?
Proteus already appeared in Ultimate X-men, I think it was in the World Tour or something can't remember exactly.

That's likely due to the whole SHIELD referring to 'Codename: Lightning' as being something of a back-up plan and waiting to send him in until Tony signals, and then, when Herc goes after Tony to save Cap, he's suddenly hit by a huge bolt of, well, lightning and Thor shows up.
Appearing to be squarely in Tony and SHIELD's pockets, and then attacking the entirety of the Anti-Registration side with lightning blasts, would sort of make Thor seem kinda like he was Pro-Registration, wouldn't it?

No, it doesn't. How was SHIELD able to know or Tony for that matter that Thor will side with them? They didn't even know that Thor will return. The only thing they know is that something happened to Thor's hammer that they or the Gorvernment was monitoring back in the FF book.

You must've missed the referance to Thor as codename: Lightning. IIRC, it's mentioned twice, the second time being right before Thor shows up.

SHIELD knew Thor was coming because they were monitoring the hammer in the FF boks but what they and us don't know is which side Thor will choose. Attacking Herc does not mean he's pro-reg, it only means that Thor would rather blast Herc to get everyone's attention instead of blasting Tony for beating Cap

Or, you know, there could be stuff that's 'already happened' in the Fantastic Four book that shows Thor signing up with the Pro-Reg side but we just haven't seen it yet.
Sort of like Luke Cage joining up with the Anti-Reg side in New Avengers. We know which way it's going to go already, because we know which side he's been fighting on. But, we're still supposed to be excited about the comic coming out and 'revealing' to us where Luke decides to go.
It's also a lot like the last issue of New Avengers where Cap finds Falcon and the go try to recruit Pym. We already knew that Falcon was on Cap's side from Civil War #1 and #2, and we already knew that Pym wasn't going to join them because he's been with Tony in those same two issues.
Just because we haven't seen it happen in another comic yet doesn't mean that it hasn't 'already' happened in Marvel continuity.
Keep in mind, this isn't DC. DC builds up the story with each week's events following the events of the previous week. Marvel does big reveals and then, due to not having any sort of regular shipping schedule, tells you later how they got to where they are.
(And, look, I said all of that without even touching on the fact that, since Joey Q and Bendis took the reins, they've got no real continuity anyway.)

The only thing that heppened in the FF books was that someone, Thor obviously, was able to lift the hammer of Thor. The anti-climax thing that happened with Pym would never happen here. This is after all a big reveal, I don't think Marvel will screw this up.
As for the Luke Cage story in New Avengers, it's not about the decision its about WHY Luke chose to be in the anti-reg side despite that fact that he is newly married and a new father. I for one, would like to know why he chose to be with Cap when everything points that he should be with Tony
