Is it time to buy Gears of War?

For the most part.

I know it's a good game, unless everyone else is wrong.

I'm going to borrow a copy first to try it out. I played Lost Planet instead of G of W and beat it. The online was so-so, but the main game was fun.

I didnt think Lost Planet was that good; no real interaction like Gears. Woohoo, I pilot a exo armor. Not all that exciting.

Huzzah, finally got a 360 again and getting my stuff setup now.

Heh, the damn thing is so hard to line up, though, and it sucks hard when someone else joins the game that's perfected the technique.


My real forte is the torque bow, though I haven't used it well for a few nights in a row, now.

And my skills are going to get worse and worse the more I play Crackdown. CRACKDOWN BABY!!!!!!

Mine is "Radm0bile." I've got Crackdown. I'm also down for playing some Ultimate Alliance (especially after new downloads) or Rainbow 6 Vegas. Gears of War - I do a lot of system link on the weekends so don't bother inviting me to that usually.

Got Guitar Hero 2 last night. It was pretty sweet. I was rockin' out to Warrant's "Cherry Pie" when I got my SECOND RED LIGHT OF DOOM!!!

I called Bangladesh this morning and Microsoft is sending me ANOTHER repair box so that I can get ANOTHER refurbished system. I love my 360, but I hate waiting to play my games. Drives me bonkers!

Though you probably won't see much of me for the next two weeks... though I need to get GoW soon. I do have MUA and Halo 2, tho'.

Mine's in my signature, but it's BrotherMagneto. I don't really play online much, but I'd be up for Uno and Catan and Worms, and maybe Gears of War once I figure out how not to suck at it.

There's two things you need to know before you can get good at Gears:

1) The game alternates filling your shotgun with either live ammo, or pop rocks. If you get the pop rocks, expect your opponents shotgun to be filled with tiny, angry hornets carrying shotguns of their own.

2) If you want to shoot the person standing two-feet in front of you, aim at anything other than them. If you shoot at them you'll miss entirely.
