If a fig makes a standard attack while carrying an object, but is the target of Danger's power (and thus the object's modifier doesn't work), is the object still used up in the action?
IE: Hulk charges in for 5 + a heavy. He only deals 5 because of the special power. But does he lose the object in the attack as well?
That would kinda suck, though I expect it is the case.
Thanks!
The answer you seek can be found on page 37 of the LoSH rulebook:
Quote
A character holding an object and making a close combat attack must use the object in the attack, as shown in Figure 20, unless the character is using a power that will deal 0 or no damage or a power that will affect multiple opposing characters. If a character is using a light object in a close combat attack, modify
the character’s damage value by +1 for the attack. If a character is using a heavy object in a close combat attack, modify the character’s damage value by +2 for the attack.
(the red portion has been added in the latest errata - it means you cannot use an object during a Quake attack)
No question about it really: The rulebook says the object must be used, and none of the exceptions apply.
