Before this article reminded me, I had made the generalization that "every" Batman was awesome. Then I remembered KC Batman. I got mine as a Christmas gift, which is good because I couldn't bring myself to actually spend money on a figure that is doomed to crash and burn.
I would have to say though that every Batman figure with the Batman Ally TA is a threat. They are very difficult to remove from the board and contribute tremendously to every team they are on.
The Batman figures actually make me think that stealth / Batman Ally TA are a little too powerful. I actually think these abilities should be cancelled any time an opponent becomes adjacent to a figure with these abilities.

Yet another great review!!
I thought about house ruling stealth dropping when you are adjacent to an opponent, but with things like trickshot, sharpshooter, superman allies, and ultimates, there seems to be enough ways to have to deal with Bats..
Would it make sense? Yes, but then it'd probably also take Batman down a whole lot in terms of usefulness/playability.

Not to mention the many forms of close combat available...
one of the main things is remember rooftop bats can have brilliant tact. a nice thing for his points. now play him with his rogues gallery and watch the mayhem insue.
i played a larger point game the otherday. and it was hilarious to watch the joker, mad hatter, two-face, robin, 099 batman, and some henchmen take down superman prime and his team.
GREAT REVIEW, i have to admit thanks for changing the end. I have a little favoritizm because i was actually able to pull two of em.
(the scary part is my friend doesn't have the rule against playing uniques only one at a time. And two chase batmen on the board....OH DEAR LORD lol)
A good defense will only last for so long, before you must crush your enemies outright!

Hey you don't gotta thank me for changing my mind. I'm in this with you guys. I see dials, I look them over, think up how their powers mesh together and what can be pulled off, but I miss things. And because of that reviews are never 100% firm. I mean for all we know next set (should it ever come) will come with a feat that you can only attach to a Batman that has the Justice League TA and is over 100 points with leadership and then suddenly thanks to the feat or whatever old Hypertime Veteran Batman becomes the best.
It's all give and take, so when I inevitably miss something in a review it's the reader that's supposed to help with that. And sometimes we'll have two opinions on what piece is better and neither of us will change their opinion, but then it brings a nice insightful discussion to the thread, which to me is 10000000x better than the review itself.
So if my reviews spark discussion, then they are achieving their intended purpose.
If everyone said, "I agree 100%" every time I posted something.. Well then I'd have been out of this reviewing thing months ago.
Thanks loyal readers! Thanks for helping ME become a better player!

Man, now I suddenly have the urge to try and do a massive Bat-Army.
Nice review, though I'll echo the general disagreement as I feel Lamppost > V Legacy. Sinestro Corps Bats has some nice synergy with the rest of the Corps, too.

I know this is kinda off topic, but I've never been able to suss out an answer to this question before.
What's the deal with the blue and grey Batman suit? I know it started around the time Neal Adams was writing him, right? But what's the reasoning behind it aside from not being near as intimidating?
