Don't take it personally when a seller "snubs" your offer. Some sellers have a gazillion items for sale at one time, and it may be hard for them to respond to each and every offer/question they get.
I usually sell 7 items a week on eBay, and sometimes I would get tons of questions regarding my items. As much as I would like to, I can't log-on to my eBay account everyday to answer questions, but I do try to make an effort to answer and reply to all queries from buyers in a timely manner.
If a seller is rude to you, move on. There's not much you can do really. He's the one who lost business anyway, not you.
Actually, what I said was that he's the only one that has them listed for a BIN/OBO. There are more than a few other sellers with the same figure listed, but only for BIN The figures I am referring to are from a much older set, (pre-Icons) and were never (to my knowledge) a sought after or high priced/high demand figure.
I find it funny sometimes when I look at the BIN on e-Bay. Like watching a bunch of lemmings.
Seller #1: 'Hey, that guy has figure xxxx listed for BIN $19.99, I guess I had better list mine for BIN $19.99'
Seller #2: 'Hey, seller #1 and that other guy has figure xxx listed for BIN $19.99, I guess I had better list mine for BIN $19.99'
Seller #3: 'Hey, seller #1, seller #2 and that other guy has figure xxx listed for BIN $19.99, I guess I had better list mine for BIN $19.99'
And so on and so forth. Meanwhile, they sit and sit and sit forever and a day, and the same figure sells at auction for $8.00 over and over. Honestly, I understand there are fluctuations in the market, ebbs and flows, the 'demise' and then 'resurrection' of clix etc etc. But does anyone here know what the definition of insanity is? Doing the same thing over, and over, and over again, and expecting different results. Listing the same item over, and over, and over again and expecting different results......
Thanks to all that have contributed to this discussion in a positive and helpful manner.
Cheers.
I agree it doesn't make sense when the stores all base their prices on the other guys. A smart move would be to undersell by a few dollars while going a couple dollars over the average auction price to turn a profit on someone who doesn't want to risk being sniped in auction. I have sold alot of the older stuff in auction. For instance I aquired an extra Natasha Romanoff. Did I really think someone would pay $75? No I auuctioned her and got a little over $40. I've put offers on Banner and Creed that got turned down immediately even though they don't fetch $125 in auction ever that I've seen. So I understand your point of view. Haven't I heard that definition of insanity at some kind of meetings?
