The ship has sailed on Dethclix, unfortunately. Horrorclix would have been the place to do it. Given their habit of accidentally killing all of their fans they could have interacted with the victim mechanic in some neat ways.

The Monkees, with a much more outrageous promotional approach and an eye towards the larger than life and an absence of humility. The Archies gone Hollywood via Studio 54.

As mentioned, I'm fine with the idea of them being made as Clix. I doubt I'd ever be interested in buying them, but if it brings more attention and, so, more interest to the game/hobby, then it's ultimately a good thing. The pie gets larger.

I go to venues to play so rarely it isn't as if I'm going to be bothered by Kiss Clix invading the tournament scene and showing up on teams with Batman or Spider-man. As I object to the prize-driven tourney scene anyway I'd likely get some sincere enjoyment if it turned out the Gene, Ace, etc. clix ended up quickly becoming considered to be cheese elements on teams due to one or more heavily exploited dial elements.

If they did Kiss Clix, they could make Abba and Barry Manilow as their archenemies.

Its no worse an idea than a good chunk of Marvel and DC characters that we get.

It's certainly not timeless, but it was without a doubt pivotal. It was beyond any reasonably-informed doubt a brilliant, nuanced contribution to the genre, but I realized long ago that subsequent aping and recycling of the themes have retroactively given a false sameness to much of what stood out in it at the time. Also, the alternate reality time line is too dependent on Cold War themes to connect strongly with most fans below a certain age.

The latter in particular is something I recognized after loaning a copy out to various, younger fans closer to the turn of the century. The eras of Viet Nam, the economic faltering of the seventies and heating up of the Cold War in the eighties aren't part of many current readers' personal experiences and so some critically important setting elements fail to resonate with them.

There's also the chip on the shoulder element of it being paraded around as a classic, making it rather much like having one's parents declare that a certain movie is the funniest one of all time. What could live up to that sort of billing after over two decades of its success being imitated and recycled in the rest of the genre? Nothing.

I'd be fine with KISS clix just for the fact that it might give me a chance to punch Gene Simmons in the face. Granted, I listened to the NPR interview, so that may have influenced my opinion, but even if that's all marketing, it's a marketing gimmick I can't stand.

Whether you like them or not, you can't argue with the fact that they can move merchandise, otherwise Neca wouldn't have bought the rights.

I think if the sculpts are well done, they can attract others to them and possibly the game. I also think the Blackest Night will do the same for comic readers. If you look at them as characters, you will be hard pressed to find something more interesting in music. Alice Cooper would be cool as well and he also had a few comics.

I don't know enough about ICP, but they do seem like characters Gwar may be another one, but I don't think either one have the fan base to support something like this. IMHO

I'm all for Kiss Clix. However, they need to put Kiss's blood in the ink. It should be hard to acquire since Gene and Paul are probably pricking themselves each day to check their sugar levels due to their elderly diabetes.

I thought it was referring to this, though I suppose that'd require the Transformers license.
