True, but both E2 superman and superman(boy) prime both state in infinite crisis and sinestro corps war (prime) that the E1 kryptonite has no effect on them.....are they lying idk but thats what they say.
Oh, I'm sure it has no effect as far as Geoff Johns is concerned...but that's a bit inconsistent with the scene on Mogo at the end of Infinite Crisis. And it's questionable how the hell either Superman would know the effects of the alternate-universe kryptonite, anyway.
Reasonably, the stuff has a reduced effect on kryptonians from other dimensions. The idea that it has no effect at all, though, is - as stated - about as silly as saying Batman's not affected by radiation from Earth-2.

Well I remember someone saying that Kryptonite from one Earth wouldn't effect Kryptonians from another Earth. so Powergirl, E2 and Supes should not be effected by Earth 1 kryptonite, But I don't know if this was a misunderstanding, or a misstatement, or something that has since been retconned. Perhaps it was merely fanboy drivel since I can't seem to find the citation.
It was all over Infinite Crisis. However, Johns himself stupidly forgot that in JSA when they hit Earth-22 Superman with Kryptonite that made him 'not able to see clearly'....

The scene from Infinite Crisis actually HINGES on Kryptonite only affecting Earth-1 Superman.

If that were the case, it'd make little sense for Supes to have enough left in him to deal with Superboy-Prime. Yeah, Superboy-Prime had to deal with Earth-2 Superman and Superman, but once Earth-2 Supes was out of the way, a red sun and kryptonite poisoned Superman shouldn't be much of a bother for someone only suffering from red sunlight.
Besides which, you'd think Mogo would've shielded himself from all the kryptonite if it was only going to be a hindrance to the good guys.

Superboy Prime makes the comment that Kryptonite from 'this universe' would only kill 'this Superman'.
I think the point was that Superman pushed himself beyond his normal abilities to beat Superboy Prime. It's not spelled out, but apparently the Supermen's powers were fading gradually, including Kal-Els. He fought past the pain and sickness of Kryptonite to be Superboy-Prime, thus earning his 'name' in the eyes of Kal-L.
Waid went out of his way to mention that KC Superman had completely overcome the effects of Kryptonite in the miniseries..... so why does the new Kryptonite man get to affect KC Superman? Weird.
I have heard both sides.... and I will now be playing my flipping KC superman with ICWO w/oracle to negate the kryptonite man. I really think there should've been a die roll attached with that power dealing with Supermen with JSA or future keywords .... it is kind of 50-50 with it affecting KC supes anyways.... Are all kryptonians covered by the kryptonite man?

They say the best weapon is one you never have to fire. I respectfully disagree. I prefer the weapon you only have to fire once. That's how Dad did it, that's how America does it, and it's worked out pretty well so far." Robert Downey/Tony Stark
I would like to point out that Kryptonite Man also affects Lois Lane (or215), Batman (cd223), and Talia (bb019). He also does not affect Superboy (lg065, lg066) Supergirl (or055, or057, or205, un218) or "Young Superman" (ls007). Don't take this too seriously folks.
The actual line in Kingdom Come reads: "Sadly...Kryptonite no longer packs the punch it did in the good old days."
That's not saying it has zero effect. It just means KC Superman won't immediately weaken and curl up like a little girl when exposed to it. I figure the same goes for E-2 Superman in Infinite Crisis and E-22 Supes in JSA. (Note that the former immediately destroyed Batman's Kryptonite ring in the Infinite Crisis scene. No need to do that unless the stuff might still be dangerous somehow, right?)

Except that Kal-L stated that the Kryptonite from this universe doesn't affect him. I think he destroyed the ring because it was symbolic of what was wrong with the Trinity's relationship at that point. Batman has a Kryptonite ring because he's paranoid. (I know Kal-El gave it to him, but having it directly on hand? LOL...a bit much).

Batman was in the Bat-Cave at the time. I wouldn't exactly call that paranoid. Kal's line about it representing what's wrong about the mainstream universe is a bit dubious - if anything, the ring was a sign of trust. As Kal-L visits Bruce within days/weeks of Kal-El attacking Batman while mind controlled, Kal-L's condemnation of Batman lacks any punch.
