:star: Despite the power, i still have the intellect: lex luthor can use the superman enemy Team Ability, friendlies 4 squares away using this team ability are considered adjacent to luthor.
:star: Its mine! its all mine!: Lex luthors powers and abilities cant be countered.
:star: Talked Larfleeze into giving me a ring: If there is another friendly character on the board named larfleeze, luthor can use probability control
:m-wing-trans: Hide behind the corp: LOF is blocked to lex luthor if he is at least 2 squares away from a summon the corp token activated by a friendly larfleeze.
:d-indomitable: The perfect lantern : lex can use mastermind, barrier or toughness.
:g-starburst: Simply take what i desire: when lex luthor uses the superman enemy TA, and is 5 or fewer squares away he can use any countered powers until your next turn.
A slightly more user friendly orange corp member....even if this contradicts his greedy attributes.
You know....as im reading all of these negative reviews on this piece I came to a conclusion. You players have no imagination. Is this lex a power house? No...was lex a power house when he got the orange ring in the comics? No....so this piece is comic accurate.
Lex makes a great body guard for his comrade Larfleeze as he takes turns pumping out corp tokens. Give some fodder to lex and use him to tk objects or larfleeze alike for positioning. OR suck in an opponent and outwit/steal some powers! Lex gets impervious mid dial which is perfect. A triangle dial allows him to get hit and land on his greatest defensive powers. Sure his damage drops to one...but that's ONE damage with close combat expert or blades claws fangs! This luthor plays just like a lex luthor figure should play...not as a power piece but as a finesse piece. The ring grants him powers that you would never see on a luthor figure! (Telekinesis, super outwit, pulsewave and mind control) Yes yes I know the secret six lex has pulsewave and the brainiac and lex duo has mindcontrol but the point is this is a powerset that lex would never have if not for the ring. His effectiveness would've tripled if he could use his outwit at range and for defensive powers...but then he would be less of a finesse piece. The new rules on outwit hurt him a bit....but it helps motivate you to get closer to opponents anyway and that's where lex needs to be. He's perfect with the orange lantern and both larfleeze figures with some pog fodder. Leave corp factory larfleeze in the back pumping out reinforcements while lex and larfleeze move ahead to intercept any opponents.

Want to play this guy w/WL Hal Jordan. Hal has TK to get lex where you need him, and he can take a hit for Lex as well. And I hate being this player, but I'd have to play Lex with the Phoenix Force. It just makes sense! To me it represents the Orane Light (Avarice). The more people using it, the weaker it gets. But if only one person is wielding it. . .
The ONLY orange lantern with Impervious. This guy plays brilliantly with the New Larfleeze. He pops out bystander tokens, Lex now has unlimited Mastermind fodder. Literally all of his weaknesses are fixed with the orange battery and constructs. Imagine Lex sporting both impervious AND shapechange! Also Hal jordan grants him willpower! Perhaps the most important combination with this Lex and the modern lantern corp is his damage special and how it works with the current ruling of the orange power battery! He can literally outwit ANY standard power and use it. Thus giving the battery a much larger and broad list of powers to cancel out because of lex! His Tk also offers something to modern lanterns. This Lex is now back in the game!

What's that sound? I thought I heard a dead horse being beaten.
Okay, the Orange Battery might give him a needed stat boost, but I don't think it's enough. If you're cunning enough, you might be able to make it work, but I just don't think it's worth it.
Of course, I'm trying to make AAoU Vision and Ex Nihlo work, so who am I to talk. ;)
Wow, the negative comments are way overboard and off-base. Some of the haters need to stop beating the dead horse, as they put it. This piece is not that bad at all, especially on an orange lantern team.
Sure, if you just want to play the most undercosted figures and broken combos you can find, move along, nothing to see here. Go point and click away with the most undercosted pieces, entities, ID cards, and undercosted non-thematic resources to your heart's content and enjoy your game your way. This game lets people play and enjoy it as they wish, and that's great. Just take the hating elsewhere, because why is it such a big deal if some find this piece decent and fun to play?
If you want to play Orange Lanterns, with Lex Luthor on the team in an incredible sculpt, with interesting powers to make strategic use of, this is a very cool piece to play. His powers make him a good team member for the Orange Lanterns (as good as that can be possible :P) and the thematic orange lantern resources and teammates that have come out in recent years have improved him over time. I enjoy getting good use out of Orange Lantern Lex.

Compare him to any other 160 point figure in modern age. I'll wait.
You're back? Okay, then you probably see the problem by now.
Any arguments that were ever leveled in favor of this figure were soundly annihilated by his 160 point price tag. He is, was, and will always be trash.
