"Okay, now I gotcha," Hawkeye said. He had nocked an arrow and was about to fire it at the animated dinosaur skeleton. Suddenly, his assault was interrupted.

<Screech> The monkey screamed in Hawkeye's face. Despite its injury, it had leapt quickly across the dark hall and jumped in front of the Avengers' archer.

"Wha?!" Hawkeye exclaimed. He shifted his target but hesitated, as he didn't want to skewer the monkey and kill it. Instead, he tried to deal a wounding shot. As a result, he missed entirely.

Dr Pym was nearby and tried to grab the annoying beast. Reaching out quickly, the researcher almost caught the monkey's tail, but it turned lightning-fast and scratched Hank's hands bloody.

"Autsch!" Hank shouted. "That little animal!... It's like he's working with the dinosaur to keep up busy and distracted!..."

Meanwhile, Mockingbird and Wasp were doing their best to avoid being... well, eaten. Mockingbird rained a series of blows with her batons onto the skeletal Tyrannosaur's think bones, but the monster didn't seem to feel them.

Wasp, for her part, was trying to keep the monstrosity occupied by flitting above its eyes -- or its eye sockets. She was well aware that she was much smaller than all of its teeth at her current tiny size and was very careful to avoid its maw. 'If it swallowed me,' she wondered to herself, 'could I just fly right out again?' Amazingly, Wasp's attempt to incapacitate the dinosaur skeleton seemed to be having success.

9A:
1) Cheeky Monkey was darting around, back and forth, screeching and howling. He saw the tiny man on the floor and started dancing around (Perplex up AV by +1) trying to hit him with his feet, (attack Pym, AV 8 +1=9 vs. DV 16, roll is 1,3=4, miss.
2) The skeletal dinosaur was confused. There was a light darting around his face, entrancing him. He watched dumbfounded. Then he heard, or felt, (it was hard to tell how he could tell what was happening with only bones to rely on) a tiny figure trying to strike his toe with a stick. He lifted one giant bone foot and tried to squash her. (Push to duo attack first against Mockingbird, AV 9 vs. DV 16+2=18. Roll is 6,4=10 (on no I really didn't expect to hit that) hit for 4 and KO. Second attack vs. Wasp, AV 9 vs. DV 18. Roll is 2,5=7 for the miss.) Dinosaur takes 1 push damage.

WCAvengers turn 10b

The cheeky monkey was effectively distracting Hawkeye and Dr Hank Pym. It was hard for them to catch up to the swift, clever animal, and it was even more unpredictable since it had been injured by Moon Knight. Hawkeye had an eye on Mockingbird, too, who was a tiny assailant compared to the fearsome animated Tyrannosaur skeleton that towered over her.

Suddenly, the skeleton made an attack with its hind leg, something Mockingbird had clearly not expected, as she had been concentrating on its monstrous teeth. "Aaaaaee!" Mockingbird shouted, as it nearly crushed the life out of her. After the attack, the remained on the ground, unmoving...

"Bobbi!" Hawkeye shouted. He made a move toward his wife, but the monkey leapt up and blocked his path with a screech. He swung at it but missed.

Meanwhile, the wondrous Wasp heart leapt into her throat. She had seen what had happened to Mockingbird, and it became frighteningly apparent how dangerous a game she was playing. This dinosaur skeleton was not some harmless exhibition piece any longer...

Dr Pym was alarmed to see Mockingbird knocked out so viciously. He swept at the monkey with one arm while reaching for his Avengers communicator with the other. "Hawkeye," Dr Pym said, "I'm going to call for reinforcements. It's obvious that is no ordinary skeleton, and this is no ordinary monkey..."

1) The annoying insect was still flitting about the dino's head, but it was too tiny to get a good strike on (Devil Dino attempt to attack Wasp, AV 9 vs DV 18, roll is 3,5=8, miss.)
2) Cheeky Monkey was seriously enjoying himself taunting and harassing these brightly dressed homosapiens. He danced around them both, chattering, and tried to land on top of the tiny one again (Cheeky Monkey perplex up AV +1, attacks Pym, AV 8+1=9 vs. DV 16, roll is 4,5=9, hit for 1)

1) Cheeky Monkey was happy with his success, he screeched in triumph and swung away again (Cheeky Monkey perplex up AV +1 attacks Pym, AV 8+1=9 vs. DV 15+2=17, roll is 4,6=10, hit for 1.) He danced so hard he sprained his ankle and crouched on the floor to tend to it. (1 push damage)
2) Dinosaur was angry. He let out a howl that shook the very foundation of the museum and whipped his tail around at the bug (push to attack Wasp, AV 9 vs. DV 18, roll is 2,5=7, miss) his tail bones hit the wall and several fell out of place clattering to the floor. (1 push damage.)

Hank Pym swore at himself. How could he have been so careless? As urgent as it was to contact his teammates and request reinforcements, he had let his guard down, and the monkey had been able to injure him. Fortunately, the beast had lost its grip and had fallen to the floor. Hank tried to kick the animal hard, but missed.
