Tagging in because I want to use Larfleeze and use him right. My one attempt so far was with old rules interpretations and he got smoked because of them. That 6 square generation range rules.
Why would it? That power is purely there to get more Constructs onto the map. The Trait and def power deal with what happens to them once they are the map. The Trait can't be outwitted, so as long as Larfleeze is on the board, I would assume that he can use his Trait to attack the opposing figures through them/move them/use poison with them.
Can you link to a thread where this is in serious discussion? Thanks.
I would agree with you on that.

Larfleeze considers characters adjacent to or in the same square as an Orange Construct object to be adjacent to Larfleeze for poison and close combat purposes.
Damage SP:
SUMMON THE ORANGE LANTERN CORPS: Once during your turn, you may give Larfleeze a free action and place an Orange Construct object on the map within 6 squares and line of fire.
From the rules book page 15:
Whenever a power or combat ability is countered, or lost because it no longer appears in the stat slot on a character, all game effects generated by that power or ability immediately end, but any tokens placed on character cards (or feats) as a result of the countered power or ability remain there.
I understand that the TRAIT explains how the objects work. I know that traits can not be countered. However, if the object came directly FROM the TRAIT then I would've never asked the question. since all the TRAIT does is explain what the object DO and does NOT produce the objects wether the trait in outwitable is irrelevant because they are not produced by the TRAIT, they are produced by his DAMAGE SP which can be countered. At this point I look to which POWER PRODUCES them which can be counterd. Then I reference the rule book on page 15.
Are the objects "game effects?" yes. Are these "game effects" generated by a power or ability? yes.
Again I'm not arguing that the trait EXPLAINS what they do. However, I don't understand that by simply having an explination of an effect prevents it from being countered... If the trait was outwitable then Larfleeze's controller wouldn't be able to manipulate the objects but they would still be able to be produced because the power that produces them is his damage SP.
That's why I tagged this thread. Hope it's "serious" enough for you now.

The rules clearly say when a power is countered/lost all game effects that they produce are removed, other than tokens.
So if i outwit the power that produced the Objects, then by the rules of the game they are removed.
To rule any other way right now would be incorrect.
so lets say rip it up is in play and you only have one character with Super Strength and it gets outwitted. Will all the objects that were brought into the game because of it go away? What if Rip It Up is Thwarted? What about Sargon's special power that allows him to switch objects, if you outwit his power do those objects switch back? I don't think objects should be considered "game effects" because it creating too much ambiguity in the game.

This is what happens when they try to "simplify" the game and get rid of redundancy's. Before each power said that they went away when the power was lost, but the chose to make it where all game effects go away when lost.
We are just quoting what the rules are and how it should be.
RIP is a feat and there for not subject to this rule, but the others would be.
This is probably what is taking so long for them to do, reword the rule so it does not include other things they had to do it before with action tokens from incap, now they are having to do it with objects, and hopefully thinking of future game effects that may come about.
Q: Can the Construct be moved via Telekinesis?
A: Yes because it is an object.
Q: Can the Construct be used in an attack via Telekinesis?
A: Yes because it is an object but it will not deal damage because it is neither a light nor a heavy object.
Can't remember where these were asked but I'll update this when I find them!

Sweet, I'll update them with links if you find them or I have time to look for them later.
here's a question that I already asked in another thread, but have yet to had answered:
what happens when there are dueling Larfleezes? No power seems to imply ownership over the constructs, so do both Larfleeze control all orange constructs?

My apologies if this has already been answered elsewhere...
Can Sargon use his SP to swap a held object toke (light or heavy) with an orange construct on the board? I realize that an orange construct object "cannot be picked up", but technically that is not what is happening here. The lifting of the object has already occurred, Sargon is merely transposing the positions of two objects.
Basically, should the Orange Constructs have read "cannot be carried by a character", instead of simply "cannot be picked up"?

Wait did they change the "power action if there are two or more"?
