I have a nephew who was big into Yu-gi-oh and has two brothers who play Hero-Clix-I don't know if either plays or has played HeroClix. This could get him into playing HeroClix.
I don't know if I'll buy any or not. Depends on the dials. I'm more likely to buy the dice building game that was also announced as one my wife's favorite games is Quarriors.
I am slightly more likely to buy these than all the video game properties I've never heard.
Im not completely against this.. for the first season.. they start busting out awesome sculpts like Blue Eyed White Dragon, Dark Magician, Harpie Lady, and Black Skull Dragon.. im game.. and lord help me if they make Toon World sculpts!!
Note: I watched the show and never played the game.. back when it was Yugi and Pegasus, good show.. now they have motorcycles and crap, no thanks..

Yu-Gi-Oh is a card game played by 40-something neckbeards where they use their superior wallet size and adult brains to crush the souls of sub-11 year olds using cards.
(This is my observation from being at other card tournaments where Yu-Gi-Oh tourneys were also being held. It's not based on prejudice. I literally saw the same 40-something guy just terminating on the same 10 year old 3 different tourneys.)
Not a damn thing blind about it for me. Have fun speaking for the other folks, though!

Am I allowed to not want to buy any NOW?
Sure, but seriously, considering how every other character in the series is a giant Mary Sue you're probably going to miss out on some really sweet dial design.
And also GX, 5DS, and Zexal suck, so if that's what you're basing your opinion on Psycho I'm sorry
D2 Priest of the Dice Gods
Guard Capture: BM001 Batman, GL Batman, Taskmaster with IG, Metron. Inmates mistreated: FF Nightwing, IC149 Wolvie
Annnnnd...I'm out. I could not dislike this property any less unless it were named Dragon Ball Z.
I dunno, DBZ clix would be a lot better than Yu-Gi-Oh. Easier to translate to a miniatures game, for one. And probably a bigger market.
To me, there's just no reason other than "They paid us to do it." that explains Yu-Gi-Oh becoming a HC license.

You wouldn't be wrong. That's my same assessment based upon tournaments in my area. Except it can also range from Douchey Kids Out of High School/College Kids to 40-something neckbeards pounding on 11-year olds.
For people to think Yu-Gi-Oh is a children's card game beyond the anime or a one-time tournament is kidding themselves.

That's one of the reasons that I dislike this property, DBZ, and (tonally) similar anime properties.
Longest-Reigning Drunken HeroClix Champion - anyone got a liver?
Oddly enough (And don't ask me why the F I know this), Yu-Gi-Oh started as a manga about a dice game. It was only after it changed to a card game that it got popular.
And now WizKids will be making a dice game based on.
