Shapechange is by far the worst power. Yeah you have a 1-6 chance to deflect an attack, but that does not stop the attacker from hitting someone else. Plus it can be outwitted.
The power is better as a team ability where it is just gravy instead of wasting valuable dial space.
"play a decent player who plays say a unique joker and use whatever the hell you like and tell me how sorry mastermind is (yer an idiot) =)"
Unique Joker is a joke. 95 points for a figure who only has outwit on the first clix with a range of 6. So all anyone needs to defeat a Joker team is someone with Mindcontrol or the ohhh so dangerous Incapasitate. Rookie Black Manta(INC with an attack of 9) can knock U Joker into the land of "never touching a figure with impervious".
-I tell you this, no eternal reward will forgive us now for wasting the dawn.
Battle Fury is ok and doesn't seem to cost anything at all really. But it is the worst power because it is the the only power with any real drawback, and two of them to boot. No ranged attacked and no being carried. Both sucktastic.

So is Incapacitate. Don't get me wrong.

That shows me you cant use V Nightwing well.....
I LOVE to use Incapacitate with the figures with two bolts.
There re so often times that I used V Nightwing to Incapacitate two figures (preferly which already has a token on)
Mastercontrol, I love it! E Taskmaster is MONSTER with a cheap taxi, so he can MC the damages to the taxi. So I can preserve Taskmaster s sealth ability leadership ability, and BCF. I must admit that MC did got some bad imppersions by unuseful figures with MC as well as Incapacitate.
Battlefury, yes, is the most sorriest ability. The aquatic skill (walking on the water, when we fight on the water?)is the second sorriest.

Mastercontrol I mean Mastermind..oops, I love it! E Taskmaster is MONSTER with a cheap taxi, so he can MC yes, I mean MM the damages to the taxi. So I can preserve Taskmaster s sealth ability leadership ability, and BCF. I must admit that MC MM did got some bad imppersions by unuseful figures with MC MM as well as Incapacitate.

Barrier is VERY useful - I can't even begin to go into that.
Incapacitate ruined many IC figures by overcosting them. For a figure with good damage, it's pointless. The best Incapacitate figures are the ones with multiple shots - esp. U Wasp.
I won't even vote for Battle Fury (sort of a + and -) and Smoke Cloud (DC only). I guess Poison is generally more trouble to use than it's worth - That's my vote. Wish they'd made it better. Basically, it can only hurt weak figures (non-Toughness, non-Invul)
If you didn't have a high cost figure to use mastermind, he could only deflect the damage onto mini characters (thug, henchman, viper, doombot, etc)
Dr.Doom with Mastermind in a 400 point game (or higher)
Take Doom (163 points) and have him flown around with Exp Ultron with Invuln. (139 pts) Doom has instant Invulnerability because of mastermind. Add Bullseye, a Hydra, and shield agent, and the Doom Team ability kicks in. Now, Doom's and Ultron's attack are 14 (take the sharing ability of the Sinister Syndicate and the Hydra team ability). Not to mention Doom's Perplex. And for all you DC/Marvel mixers, throw robin on the team to give both Ultron and Doom some stealth. round out the team with another lower cost hitters, mabye a Unique elektra or Unique Green Goblin, or a taskmaster (more doom team ability) or a quicksilver to run some interference.
Or exp Beast to add another perplexer and the Defender team ability.
that is why Doom costs more. so he can deflect it onto teammates that can handle the damage.
Or instead of Ultron, save 39 pts and swap him with 100 pt. Sentinal. 12 clicks of damage, always has range to nearly any character. capture ability if someone wants to come up close to hit doom (because of stealth)
When You can effectivlly bypass Damage reducers like Toughness and Invulnerability with a cheap figure like Wasp, and take a figure out of the game for a turn at the same time, that my friend,is awesome.Incapacitate is one of the Best powers,if used right. Now the worst power...That would have to be Shapechange.
"I'll be America's 'Smack You in the Head' Laureate!"
"Dude,They'll never pay you for that!"
"Then I'll provide it as a free service!"
I don't know how anyone can say that mastermind is one of the worst powers. I will admit it is on a lot of worthless figs, but if it is on a good one (ie. Doom, Taskmaster) it is so deadly. Think about it, someone attacks your Doom who you taxied in with whoever, would you really rather have someone hit your Doom than your Taxi? I doubt it. Doom is my fav fig and one of the reason for that is cause of his MM. There are so many time when he doesn't take a click cause of it and when he is at fil or even his 2nd click he is deadly. And as for incapacitate I think it has the same problem when its on a fig that only has that it does kinda suck, but when its on a fig that has other uses it definatly has uses at the right time.
For my vote I would say that shape change is the worst. I once used a doom team with a skrull on it (I know its a team ability but its the same idea) and it worked once in the entire tournament. Plus if it does actually work they just attack someone else, arg!

well think about it... incapaciatate... I used that skill against those figures with impervious or invuluerity.. they will have to click after being pushed... think about it
