I am given close action and choose the single target of the attack
vs 1 Mask I am given close action and must target Mask
vs 2 Masks I am given close action and each must be targeted
yes you only get 1 target for a close attack, but id argue that only applies when you get to pick the target. In this case, must is a pretty controlling term. If a character must do something, it does regardless of whether its supposed to
Will this be added to the Player's Guide? Will this be a general rule for all forced targeting effects? If multiple effects all force a player to target them, the player simply must target one or more of the effects, their choice?

What if I have only one Death Mask on the map, he is not based, and he is using this power (which grants Charge and Stealth.) If he is sitting in hindering and none my opponents can ignore hindering for line of fire then what are their options?
For example, in the grid below "D" represents Death Mask, "Fs" are friendlies and "O" is opponent. If Death Mask is in range but sitting in hindering, can the Os shoot at the Fs? Or, since Death Mask is in range would they have to target him? Which they could not do as he is in Stealth?
If Death Mask is in hindering and has Stealth, then the opposing characters can't draw a line of fire to him and as such his power will do nothing as it requires that he is within range and line of fire of the opposing characters.

Well....duh! (forehead slap!)
Thanks. I feel a bit silly now for even asking.

Is it possible that we could have a more in depth explanation on what allows you to violate the targeting restrictions, or if not currently supported could we have confirmation that it will be included in the next PG?
Vitol, let me channel my understanding from various other games to make a guess for you.
*Takes out crystal ball*
I see. I see...
I see requirements, yes, multiple requirements.
And I see that if there are more requirements than can be met you... You meet as many of them as is possible.
I see a game-state where there are N things that say "you must target me", and the character only has N-1 lightning bolts.
This character, he... He meets as many of them as he is able!
He also appears to get to pick which of them he meets, so long as he chooses the combination that fulfills the largest number of requirements (and also violates no restrictions, those are important too)!
*Nods sagely and puts away crystal ball*
The ball has much wisdom, and I fully expect that it will be at least partially correct, it IS the sphere of game-rule-knowingness-and-many-hyphens-attaching-words-together afterall!
Then again, it still just seems to BSOD when dealing with 2nd edition DnD questions... So YMMV
To be fair firlz, Vitol was making a good point. There are games that have the condition where if you manage to get two game effects into play that each say "You may only target me" the result is that you can't target either of them. Asking for clarification in the rules when they are vague (and the ruling is "It works this way" without explanation) is a good thing.
Also, 2nd Ed. D&D was great - I manipulated attack rolls for years without my players understanding how THAC0 was computed. I can understand the overload on your crystal ball.
