Steve I'm worried about your caffeine usage, you clearly are crashing from an overdose of high fructose corn syrup, caffeine, and parenting which is causing irregular pulmonary arrhythmia, drink some veggie juice instead of stimulants not v8 but cold pressed kale/wheat grass something .
Also I get frustrated with players that say, "I don't like using "x" character (in this case Xavin) cuz you have to think too much." Okay well when you get schooled by him and are always surprised by how op he is, then you aren't allowed to complain because you made a conscious decision to not study the pieces. Cop cars on the West Coast were a huge threat and wrecked many who didn't know of it's abilities. Learn the meta in competitive play or keep it casual.
There will always be broken figures and until wizkids makes an effort to get more people in the r&d department we are going to continue seeing this stuff.
Also how did X-men Gold lose to skrulls? You can x heal 2 or 3 figs off of that base and pulse wave.
Oh, also, I forgot to mention, this is super petty but you guys refer to Xavin as "he", but the character actually pretty much exclusively remains in female and identifies as such by the end of Runaways, so for some reason I always feel the need to point out that "her" is technically right.

Xavin first appeared in the stories as a male, and said that changing genders is not really a big deal for Skrulls. I agree that "she" is better, but "he" isn't really inaccurate either.

Oh no no no, like I said, it's super petty because it's not wrong. I just like pointing it out.

Thanks for your concerns with my health. I am fine though.
As for meta...don't care about it. I don't play that style, never will. I play to have fun.
As for Xavin and "learning the figures" I don't care. I would rather be surprised in a game, then know that "X" figure get "this power" on this click. You will hear that come from me often when Jeremiah is talking "Oh I didn't know they got that/had that/or could do that." Again it's a thing Meta players like to do and I don't play that way. Also I don't "Get Schooled" by characters and complain about them for lack of knowledge on what they do. I have 100's of figures I don't use or play because I either know zero history on them or just don't care about them. Xavin happens to be one of them. Perhaps one day I will get her out and put her on a team.
She also isn't as cool as she was when she first came out, she has since been fixed a little.
Was the Xmen/Skrulls game mine or J's I don't remember talking about that.....must have been the corn syrup affecting me.

My opponent isn't that good a player. He didn't think to do any Solo Missions. And I didn't give him a chance to retaliate, as once he came close enough, I took him out in one turn.

You're right. That's petty.
Fwiw, I always refer to her as she when I play her with Runaways teams. I think "he" is the more appropriate pronoun when speaking of him on Skrull teams.

No arguments on Cap. Even the 60 pt Chaos War version is great for his cost.
That's why I said his power set must just lend itself to lower point cosst when plugged into the point formula. But still, there has to be something that could jack him up into the 125 range. A super charged version of Leadership is the one thing the character is most deserving of that they have never really given him. I'd like to see that.
I WAS THINKIN EXACTLY THIS YESTEDAY! I swear, I was building an Avengers team and was thinking "why isn't there a jacked up Cap similar to 200 pt Batman? the super-serum would even allow it to make more sense.".
Outwit on first click with something like this:
Avengers Assemble! Captain America can use Leadership. He can use it as if he were 350pts. On a successful roll of Leadership he can remove an action token from every character within 2 squares of him with the Avengers keyword.

I always thought something like this would be good:
Born Leader Captain America can use Leadership as if he was 300pts. He considers all friendly characters within 3 squares and Line of Fire with which he shares a keyword to be adjacent when using Leadership. When he rolls a d6 for Leadership, add 3 to the roll, minus the number of squares he is from the friendly character from whom he is attempting to remove an action token.
I want a 150 point Captain America. He should have Invincible and or Energy Shield. A deep dial and regen
Personally Batman has taken down the Justice League (Tower of Babel). He knows every weakness and has a database of all people. Hes most of the time by himself and prefers it that way. Deeply skeptical even with heroes or good guys.
I think if we get another Batman I think we might get the silver bullet to team bases on him. I can see this
Trait: I know everyone's weakness
Can use outwit or cause a team base within range and line of fire can't use Working Together
