If the Field acts like a character, and it does, IM-Characters should ignore it.
There's also two parts to the Field. The Field and game effects are described as a Trait. He can put one single Field down once a turn, as per the trait. There is ALSO a power that lets him place more Fields during attacks.
Now, to cloudy the issue: If that special power that lets him place Fields during attacks is Outwitted/lost, do the Fields placed BY that power get removed from map? Do ALL the Fields? None of them (and if none, why not)?
Also, is there anything that removes/ignores/shuts down Traits that would revoke the Fields in play?

The marker is treated as friendly to Captain Cold, so it is also treated as friendly to other friendly characters on Captain Cold's force. Characters friendly to Captain Cold would not have to break away from his marker.

There's quite a bit of confusing language being used around here and I'm not sure I saw a complete answer to this question. If I break away from one, do I have to stop if I come near another one?
On the plus side, there's a straight-forward one... the power says "When a character occupying or adjacent to one of these markers attempts to move..." So it's only when you start your movement adjacent to it and says nothing about if you become adjacent to it.
-Heroclix is not a game of logic, it's a game of strategy .... after all, when's the last time that you saw a giant (using a stealth ability) that was hiding behind a swingset... and nobody could SEE him????

I thought so but just because it looks straight forward...
