Having an event the same weekend as Portcon might be a big mistake. It's one of only a few conventions in the really northeast and I'm 3 hours away in Vermont. Is there any way you can tie it in with the con?
Your best bet in Vermont is the Burlington area but there is only one store in that city that hosts clix events. I think they are the only store in state that does clix events as well.

I don't think the venue would want to move his event to a con and I the date is set in concrete. What's the name of the store in Vermont?

I was thinking about making this suggestion as well. It'd have to be worked out with the Portcon staff as well, and knowing their space restrictions I'm not sure it could be done (taking over their minis room for an event could be a thing), but it's still worth a thought if the venue wanted to contact Portcon and look into it.
It's a 5 hour drive for me to get to the convention, and Standish is only a little more than half hour from there.

We have written a few times in support of The Sentry Box in Alberta. Hopefully it is being considered. There is an interest here since the ROC in February.

4 hours from Pittsburgh. West Virginia ROC it is then.

The New Jersey event is in South Jersey. It is only 30 minutes from Philly. Great venue with tons of space, the best owners I've ever met, a solid player base, plenty of parking, plenty of places to eat that you can walk to, and I will make sure there are some great prizes to be given away.
