Talia was reunited with her father.

He was without the League of Assassins so he explained to Talia that their operations were in flux while he tried to recruit and train new assassins. He was failing dismally through no fault of his own.

All attempts to recruit new assassins were being blocked by the powerful entities that had brought him here.

Talia learned that he was allied with Mr. Freeze and that he had two other partners from an alternate reality that he was working with. At least until he could become more independent.

Superman collected Nightwing quickly and delivered him to Batman.
Zatanna was sent to investigate Freddy Krueger. Zatanna asked Dr. Strange to help her.

Day 57: Noon: Dunwitch, Massachusetts; An alternate reality.


Barbara Gordon; Batgirl, was from a reality where the Killing Joke never happened.

She was riding her motorcycle with impunity, oblivious to the concept of a rift in reality. (Which took her away, without the help of Calgon.)

Two-Face glared around himself. He was in some sort of quaint village called Dunwitch.

He disliked having things happen that were out of his control.

He flipped his coin to decide if he would make someone pay.

It came up unmarred.

Barbara Gordon emerged from the rift in reality and saw Two-Face flipping his coin.

She pulled to a stop determined to ensure Two-Face wasn't allowed to harm anyone.

She challenged Two-Face.

Two-Face looked at her. "I thought you were retired or dead or something."

This perplexed Barbara. Why would he say that?

"Two-Face, I'm going to have to take you in for your crimes. Don't force me to take you down."

"Really? You have any authority here in Dunwich?"? "

What do you mean Dunwich?"

"We're not in Gotham anymore little Batgirl. We've been brought here to this Massachusetts town against our will. This is probably where Batman and the Penguin among others have gone."

This perplexed Batgirl further because she was the only kidnap victim from her reality and had no idea what he was talking about.

Two-Face flipped his coin. It came up unmarred. He decided he would work together with Batgirl rather then fight her and deal with these developments together.

Batgirl looked at Two-Face with suspicion. "How do I know I can trust you?"

"The coin came up unmarred. Surely you know my M.O. by now."

Batgirl was reluctant to trust him but the decision was taken out of her hands as both she and Two-Face stiffened.

She dismounted from her motorbike and uncharacteristically let it fall without setting the kickstand. Both she and Two-Face walked without speaking toward a nearby home. They stood at the front door and waited patiently until it opened and admitted them. They entered without speaking.

Alfred and Jervis Tetch wandered around Innsmouth looking for transportation or a pay phone possibly. None could be found.

Finally Tetch decided to use his hat on a resident and force him to help them leave.

Alfred didn't approve but he was forced to pretend he had no idea what Tetch was doing. Alfred was beginning to feel an ominous foreboding about the entire town.

The mind controlled local led them to a horse and buggy rig.

It was all they had to allow them to escape.

Alfred thought about it and decided to check into the local hotel instead and hope he could find a way to contact Batman to let him know he was in this reality again.

Dr. Strange and Zatanna arrived at Miskatonic University and searched for traces of Freddy Kruegger and soon learned through spells that Freddy Krueger was now a member of the Nightmare realm.

Dr. Strange and Zatanna used spells to see if any others had appeared in the area but could not account for anyone.

Strange did learn that there were other locations in Massachusetts where others may have arrived. Strange and Zatanna went to the Oblivion Bar to speak with other supernaturals about looking for other arrivals.

Two-Face and Batgirl were in trouble. They'd been captured by Mi-Go and were undergoing a brain wash technique.

They were in danger.

Alfred took a room in the Innsmouth hotel and Jervis Tetch took a separate one. The proprietor sullenly handed them their keys and led them to their rooms.

Alfred began wracking his mind for a way to contact Batman. There was an old fashioned phone in the lobby. The kind you had to crank before you made a call. Alfred doubted it worked.

Jervis Tetch was approached in his room by the Midnight Rambler. "You don't need to be here. Let me take you to Gotham City."

The Mad Hatter; being quite mad, trusted the Midnight Rambler implicitly and the Midnight Rambler whisked him away. Leaving Alfred on his own in Innsmouth.

Ghost Rider, (Johnny Blaze) Blue Devil, Ragman and the Enchantress were at the Oblivion Bar when Dr. Strange and Zatanna came back from Miskatonic University.

They asked Ghost Rider to investigate Innsmouth and Shadowpact to investigate Dunwich.

Each of them; Strange and Zatanna, were busy trying to prevent C'Thulhu from awakening and preferred to get back to that.

Ghost Rider took the bar exit that was in Salem and rode off toward Innsmouth.

The Enchantress teleported herself, Ragman and Blue Devil to Dunwich.

They began to look around and quickly found Batgirl's abandoned motorcycle.

Alfred decided to check on Tetch and could get no response from his room. He tried the door. It was locked. "Tsk," Alfred thought. It's what he deserved for relying on a mad man.

Alfred went down to the lobby. The desk clerk wasn't there.

Alfred attempted to use the phone, cranking it up but only receiving static.

Alfred became apprehensive. He sensed a malefic presence of some kind in the town and began to worry that Tetch may have fallen victim to whatever malady ailed Innsmouth.

He hurried back to his room and locked and barricaded the door.

Then he sat in a chair with his primed and loaded shotgun.
