Like all tributes, Great Dezard doesn't stay on the field too long. But hey, if he destroys one monster, and is then destroyed, does he only need to destroy one more to fulfill his effect? I thought so.
And, like I said, getting him out with Magician's Circle is very nice since you'd still be in the battle phase and, most likely, the opponent will end up Special Summoning a Breaker without a counter or a MoF in Attack Position, making it easy pickings. Never said it was easy, but it's possible to do and much easier than some other cards.
I'm gonna have to find a way to make this work without magician circle. Usually, book of moon helps take out one monster, but with it limited to one, and no magician's circle in my inventory, I'm also going to have to think of something new.
Oh, well I can get Dezard out into the field, that's not the problem. It's destroying my opponents monster cards when Dezard doesn't have enough strength. I don't think that equips would help that much either, since they kind of slow the deck down anyways, but I could always try.
Well, these days, most non-tribute monsters in a typical would be weaker than it anyways...so you could just use things like Trap Jammer, Seven Tools of the Bandit, Mirage Dragon/Pitch-Black Werwolf and such...anyways, I think this is getting a bit off topic and should be saved for the Zombie Tactics...
It's actually a lot easier to use something like Wall of Revealing Light + Megamorph. Tons easier. Turns out as a nice tech for an OTK, or overkill with machine OTK (Wall of Revealing Light + Megamorph + Limiter Removal + Power Bond). WoRL doesn't even need to be there, really.. but it's a quick way to control making your LP lower than your opponent's, while they either bring out a bigger beatstick, or waste m/t removal on getting the trap card out of the way. It clears out their MST/Dust tornado and (if they're overzealous) Heavy Storm.
while they clear it out and wonder why the hell you'd play a card like that, you've set the first part of your plan to win the duel into action.
