I currently use two Snipe Hunters in my deck. Just because someone got unlucky isn't going to stop me from playing it. Hopefully other players can think like that.
So you ignore proof that these can screw you over, and choose to run them anyway?...
You can get advantage from Snipe hunter. My deck takes major advantage of it. For one I can get advantage with Night assailant....occasionally. 2nd. I play a deck full of monsters that get advantage through doing battle damage so the 1 for 1 most of the time will get advantage from the other cards in my deck. Say the opponent has a high def or atk monster and I have a Don and Snipe hunter on the field. I discard and get the 60% chance and their monster goes buy buy. Now Don does his trick giving me the +1. I also use Dark Scorpion Meanae. I have Meanae and Snipe on field. Discard with Snipe. Attack woth Meanae and add another Meanae to my hand......free discard every turn. It works in my deck so you just have to find a good use.
You are pretty shallow minded despite knowing how to play a cookie deck really well. Just because you haven't done it or not enough have made Top 8's with it you say it sucks. 25% of Shonen Top 8 decks have run it successfully so far. How many have to run it or destroy you to realize it's true?
Why do people play Exiled Force? It gives no advantage.....or does it? It's a one for one, but you use your summon. This will allow you to get a possible Exiled or MST every card you discard and leaves field presence.
Your an idiot. You get no advantage running it. Its a one for one or a negative one or a negative five if thats the number of cards you end up losing to kill one card. This is why you lose? You do not think at all. The people who ran snipe hunter and top eighted, either got extremely lucky with it or didnt draw it at all. In the end, alot will not run this card, because it is very unstable. Why risk so much for a one for one.
What is wrong with you? You don't have to call people idiots if they find justification in running Snipe Hunter. Personally, I feel it doesn't work in cookie cutter decks because (A) cookie cutter decks don't do well when they lose card advantage (B) Cookie cutter relies on sure-fire effects, not on chance, (C)I've seen it fail in countless playtests. However, I still find people using it nonetheless. I just feel better at the fact that in the end they lose advantage sometimes because they are trying to force it to work.
It doesn't have to be so bad that others are running a card you feel is not great. And if that is the case, then look on the bright side. At least you will have the good feeling that a potential opponent is screwing themself over by using this card.

Were friends. I know him in real life. Snipe hunter is bad, your basically getting a one for one or a negative one. Your basically saying, your using a luck sack based card. Im not shallow minded, the last deck i ran was not cookie cutter and i ran it at one of the hardest regionals in the country which is in new york. I got 14th place with a non cookie cutter deck. It was not monarch or anything and i did good. You can use him around decks, if you all want, but when your feeling unlucky one day, snipe will really get on your nerves when you wasted two cards to kill one.

Wow that's messed up, straight to the personal flame just cause he likes a card?
I think Snipe owns, and not just because you have an awesome chance of getting a good 1-1 but because you can use it for all kinds of things. My favorite being fod for Avarice. I don't know but if you can use it for DW too that owns. And of course the old and gold Necro decks could spam him out like crazy.
He's an awesome little monster you just gotta know how to use him the right way. ;-)

Ok finally someone made a solid point. For reasons like dumping monsters for the purpuse of doing it, and getting something out of it, like a necro out and flip return, is not that bad. I still think it's bad main decked in a cookie cutter. It is pointless, it has a lot of flaws. If you were to main deck it when needed, it would be a pretty good to run, other than that you should not run it because you like the odds and a potential one for one.
Yeah, I have no idea why anyone would use him, unless they wanted to put monsters in the grave yard. If pot of avarise was not restricted, this card would be broken. Also, like i said, it can be good for return, necro, bazoo, and etc.
As sad as it sounds, I can see why people like the card.
It adds consistancy to your draws. No matter what you draw that turn it'll have a 2/3rds chance of being an answer to an opposing problem card. It takes that extra recruiter, Monarch or whatever dead card and gives it a use.
Its the same reason why I favor Chiron the Mage when running conditional spells like Creature Swap.
Your average monarch deck has quite a few dead draws and has great potential for bad draws. Snipe Hunter helps with all that.

Yeah top decking snipe hunter with 0 cards in your hand is amazing... And some people do not like confi because it is a bad top deck. When it wins games 9/10 times.
I'm not saying that it's a great topdeck. In fact, I don't think that I mentioned top decking at all...
It gives you more options than you would normally have when you're playing a deck with some dead cards.
Monarch decks with Soul Exchange, Stein, Last Will, even confiscation (sometimes...) often find themselves with dead cards. Given that Snipe is searchable with Sangan, Will and Tomato, which the deck often runs, it seems to be a good fit.

The negative one factor is still bad. No matter what you end up telling me, it still makes snipe hunter risky.
The chance of turning a dead card into something useful though... How many games have you played were you fail because of your cards just don't cut it? Snipe Hunter can fix that.
Would you rather sit there with a few dead cards or have a chance to win?
