Man, I spent HOURS at a time reading the archives and everything. I would check it almost every day for new info. It also helped me look for classic Battletech references (limited to be sure, but a few gems popped up), which i wasn't up on as i didn't play it.
I'm sad to see it go. Especially since they aren't taking it down, just ceasing updates.
By the way, i always thought it could have been better by linking to what was going on in the storyline as affected by the campaigns..seems like after DFA Marquee they sorta gave up on that. Maybe the Solaris Championship articles helped it along...i thought they were boring, as they didn't affect the context of the game at that point.
Content keeps visitors, Wizkids. The interest is still there, the content was starting to fall off. So hits did likewise.
Maybe they will bring it back at some point, but once you kill a thing...
Originally posted by cavingjan anybody planning on doing a combined archive that could be downloaded? I'm been saving the Touring the Stars but I'm not sure how to easily combine the files and make things work without rewritting everything.
Well, I've saved RTF files of everything from the INN site since it went online, but I don't think an archive like that could be offered for download or anything without the express permission of WizKids.

same here... in pdf form.
the best are the Touring the Stars and Starling articles.
"buy more boosters and the chances are that the site will come back up"
A new WizTopps marketing strategy? That is just really, really low. I can't imagine that MechWarrior is not outselling MK or HC, let alone the "second-rate" games like Crimson Skies, ShadowRun, and Creepy Freeks.
Perhaps if the Comstar Site wasn't so graphically intensive and didn't use so much flashy eye-candy as WizTopps is famous for there wouldn't be an issue of cost versus traffic.
