Ok, I've done a little research now.

I like the Catapult with AIV racks. It's a medium weight (yes, no?) that looks cool. And it's artillery!

115? You're high. Even with the shallow dial, that piece is severely undercosted.

I was thinking something along the line of a merc Spector:

Trevor since I have no idea how WK prices their mechs I just threw a number higher than a locust, within the range of an uller. Looking at similar pieces I would be inclined to up it to 140. Also I forgot to mention it vents 1.

How about a totem mech for each factions, that would be unique or LE.

Spirit Cats: 70 ton Nova Cat in what would be its primary config(both attacks energy with long range and alpha strike in the primary. High defense or armor also)

Dragon's Fury: 90 ton Mauler with AnP and also high defense

Steel Wolves: 100 ton Dire Wolf/Daishi (altough, this would give just too many too big mechs to this faction if anyone knows a lighter "totem" mech for the wolves, please let me know)

Capellan Confederation: like 35 tons Raven, it would be cool to see that mech running around the board with high speed and evade.

SwordSworn: 80 tons Victor!!!, I bet it would'nt be so hard to sculpt

Highlanders: 90 ton Higlander, a massive mech that should be the faction`s salvation (ie it would have a decent dial, at a decent cost, with decent ranges etc.)

Storm Hammers: Though they already have the Zeus, it would be nice to see a 100 ton Fafnir in battle

Bansonn's Raiders: well, they have their home built Raider

And for the Republic..the all mighty URBAN MECH!!!!!

The Linebacker would make a good Steel Wolves totem mech. It is not widely known, but it is employed exclusively by Clan Wolf and weighs only 65 tons.

Also, when the Ghost Bears are introduced to MWDA we can get the Grizzly!

And since when are the Wolves the faction that has 'too many' big 'Mechs? (assault class seems to be what you specify up there) We have a Kodiak and three Timber Wolf IIs...almost no variation there...okay, and what do the Highlanders have? A Cygnus, Atlas, Jupiter, Kodiak, Zeus...hey, wait, look, three out of the five are Clan-built...

I think the ultimate Republic Mech would be the Battlemaster. Don't ask why, I just think it would be.
