A little interesting factoid.

Alpha-Mad Cat IV isn't the first merc to have a berserker dial. The honor goes to the Mad Cat II of Gus Edgington which is actually a still legal piece for tournaments. Said mech was said originally to belong to the late Kal Raddick.

Yes please! Then, we'll have more room for the newest addition to the MW: DA family (Rasalhague Dominion) and/or room for some factions who really need the love (House Liao, Steel Wolves, etc.). Also, it's not like Davion needs anymore new pieces to make them somewhat competitive or whatever. They finally have good basers/harrasers (ATVs), good artillery, decent mechs (the SS Thunder-Fox comes to mind), deadly infantry (Ravagers, TGRs, Gray Deaths, etc.), and a good transport (Bishop). Oh, and their FPs are killer.

But... if they don't choose Davion/SS to sit out of one set, it won't hurt my soul.

back before most of you punks were more than a glimmer in your daddy's eyes CBT (for you wippersnappers, Classic Battletech, the parent game of MW) lost more than 20% of its players due to a storyline change. that's right, more than 1/5 the players quit, some tossed out their lead (screw the hazard, back in those days we knew better than to eat it, we didn't need any stinkin' warning labels or 'pewter') minis and quit. why? because the Clans were introduced. it was a heathen idea then, all we had were the great houses and we were fine with that, then they introduced these new guys, sorta like super soldiers, but weirder, with mechs and stupid munchy tech, mainly LRMs with no minimum. nowadays you have fancy large heavy lasers, x-pulse, and the such, we had 3 classes of autocannons, lrms and srms, 3 types of lasers and the ppc, and that was about it, and we were happy! no fancy XL engines, no special armor types. no nothing. and you complain about a single pilot card? you have no right to complain. you get all htese fancy gadgets and tech, you've probably never heard of tech 1 battles....
teenagers these days...now go get a job, and GET OFF MY LAWN!

back in those days, i had to bring my atlas uphill both ways through snowy rough terrain to get to the battlefield, now you have these fancy mechdrops and orbital pods...you think you have it tough? bah! you wouldn't know tough if it was a AS7-D staring down your brand new 3025 wasp...

and coolant pods? back in my day we fought til the sweat on our skin started to boil, that's when we knew to shut down and pray that we weren't killed. now you can overheat and just wipe it off in a cloud of green vapors....and coolant vests? optional!

tank crews back in my day were suicide, they took one hit and there was a good chance none of the pilots would see their families again. the way those bullets bounced around the innards of a tank, it could take out the treads leaving you a sitting duck. if you were lucky it woud hit an ammo or fuel tank, kill you with as lottle pain as possible, hell, back then we didn't have pressure suits, if we took a hit we were open to whatever environment was out there, we could freeze to death inside a fusion powered vehicle....

and we could get a full lance of mechs for what you punks pay for a single mongoose...
back then we knew how to spend wisely, we didn't need fancy tech, we were fine with what we had, and it was cheap! now you have to be in leage with the cappellans to afford anything....

It was a delight to read your supportive message. In these harsh and cruel times I need all the support I can get, for I am alone and my enemies are legion. However, I must admit that I was somewhat disturbed by your remark concerning my sarcasm. As a relative newcomer in this horrid warzone called MWRealms you may not know this, and I forgive you for that, but sarcasm is the only thing that keeps me going. In the few years that I've been here, I've seen the horrors of flamewar and it changed me. It changed me forever. I stared into the abyss, and the abyss devoured me. Nowadays the only thing keeping me from a murdering rampage followed by a messy self-destruction, is my sarcasm. It's not about impressing anyone, it's about survival.

And to answer Deadbolt and Darkarchon0: the first mercenary 'Mech with berserker dials that I could get my hands on was the :^: FFE AgroMech Mk.II MOD! Now there's an insane little brawler. In the same set you can find the :^^: DI Morgan Assault Tank, another mercenary unit with a berserker dial. I always liked that tank.

As for me, I was but a young lad when I entered the MWDA forums on WK. But know I have started complaining, and complaining, and complaining. About the TImberwolf. The word Timberwolf has now seem to become a forbidden word. I guess you could say that I have brought years of flaming upon myself. But I won't give up, I won't give up for the fight for a Clan Wolf TImberwolf.....

Ahh, you both seem to miss the point of the name! We certainly did not name ourselves JEB. It was a name thrust upon us by the naysayers and doomspeakers of this game for daring to declare that the game did not in fact suck, was not going to die because of changes and declared that WK would indeed fix any balance issues, but that the process takes time. We are they with a less myopic view of the game! We are the anti-chicken littles! And we would be honored to count you amongst our members!
