Clan Jade Falcon and Clan Nova Cat are getting Thors in the new set. I would not be surprised if House Liao got one. Who do you think will get the other Thor or Thors?
I considered it likely at first, copying the entire Noel Hurtado paint job. But not likely now. It is much more likely that the last Liao nonunique of the set will be an Anubis, and the other two Thors will---for the first time in WK---all clan. That means the other Thor might be an RD and a WH. That is not counting the CW Thor for super rare, which makes a total of five Thors in the set.
Well, the units look interesting. The guy selling them is a gold digger, however. Is he trying to make his first million or something, or does he simply believe that people who collect and/or play MechWarrior are very gullible?
There is historical precedent for thinking at least some of them are... the prices for any rare Mechs that get out early show this, along with Mason Dunne and the Dropship and con exclusive Mechs for the week or two after the first con it was at.

just fill in the gaps, so far CJF and CNC get a Thor, WH needs 2 other mech so good chance that they are Anubis and Thor as with CNC, RD i believe should get a Thor aswell, so that makes 4 , who knows Noel Hurtato makes a reapearance as a unique Thor , but think that would be pretty soon.
you're all a bunch of MW commies.
and nanhold, you need to chill, you're worse than Chairman Mao!
(it doesnt satisfy Goodwin's law if it's not the afore mentioned political party or leader!)
Dude, wrong thread! By the way, people always tell me that I remind them more of Tito. It must be because of my Laibach cd's.

I fear you've got a point, Jetman. Fools and their money are easily parted, after all... this is especially true when you add a bit of "Gotta Collect 'Em All!"-fever to the mix.

Actually, it's not a "Gotta Collect 'Em All" bit in this case. It's a "Gotta have them NOW!" bit.
These will be available later. However, you'd be the first to have them.

Thank you for playing, please try again.
"Mike, please tell our contestant where he when wrong."
"Sure, Dave. HaloGrunt, the correct application of Goodwin's Law (or Godwin's Law) is the first reference to Hitler or Nazis in a discussion, not to communism or Chairman Mao. We're sorry, you do not get the year's supply of Mechwarrior boosters, but we do have a lovely selection of parting gifts, including the deluxe version of both Flavio Rodriguez and Ceaser Spano."

Ah yes! You are correct sir.
Also keep in mind the "Hitler Scale" an arbritary measurement of just how evil a particular despot is, compared to the former despot.
For the record:
Adolf = 1 Hitler.
Mousalini = .50 Hitler
Ghandi = .00000000000000000000000000001 Hitler (Hey, nobody's perfect!)
Ravenankh, 'mousalini' sounds like some kind of dessert. Is it maybe possible that you were referring to Mussolini, also known as 'il Duce'?
Okay, let's now return to the original subject: the eBay auction. I suspect that the guy who's selling those factory sets is planning to make a first payment on a house. Mind you, I'm wondering how he got his hands on those sets.

If a Liao Thor comes in, it would have to be an LE now. Pluses for this reasoning is business reasons. Thors went into a production run for Vanguard and you already have the Noel Hurtado paint job.
But for the four LE slots for Liao in this set, one would definitely be a Vulture as announced with the Vulture Mk IV, though with no name or stats yet. The other, thanks to the unique Shen Yi's appearance, may actually be another Shen Yi. You have noticed that in some sets, a sculpt has both an LE and a unique version. Though I am holding out on a Tian Zong though.
Due to having a number of heavy mechs already, I am likely to think at least one slot would be a light and another slot might be an assault. But looking at the last few LE lances and stars, there don't seem to be an equal distritution of mech times.
Another possibility, is that the last three slots would be Tsi Tsang, Tian Zong and Yu Huang.
There is also a good possibility of a Liao Scourge, since the Scourge still lacks an LE. The Principles of Desolation novel has Scourges in the cover along with the new Vulture and a Shieldturion on the bottom.

Hrm, I think HG was *purposely* referring to a different party and leader. That was his point. Silly rabbit.
Guys, while I realize this hasn't really strayed into flamewar territory, political discussions aren't allowed on this forum. This is just too close to that line. Could we please move back on topic?
they have approximately 1 month to recoup their investment....
I doubt any of those pieces without their pilot cards are going to make up for it...
even nowadays the best uniques... run 20-30 bucks and those are the good ones... the notable exception actually being keresenky's ride, but i do believe those are with p+g
