Well, this may surprise some folks since I tend to be pretty down on what I view as WK's poor stewardship of the game overall, but I'm here to stay too. I may drop out of sanctioned play events (again), or stop buying WK product from stores (again), but regardless of what happens I'll continue to play MW at home "for fun" and pick up a few select figures off eBay, just as I have since I started with MW back when FFE came out. I enjoy the game too much to quit.
I don't post much, but I've been here since the beginning, and I'll be here till the end! I would be really sad to see this game go the way of the Dodo. My venue has recently had an explosion of new players after a long dry spell, I don't understand why there is so much negativity. That's just silly.
Boy with 16 people sticking around and if I understand it, no sets in 2007, looks like MW will be going strong for a long time!
Does every post you make in every thread have to be so negative? If you dont like the game, and dont want to play anymore then dont bother posting on the forums. People like you do have a negative effect on the player base, it seems to me from your various posts of late that you dont want the game to continue. If that is the case then leave the forums to people who are interested in this game.
To everyone else, sorry about this rant. People that are so full of negitivity really get on my nerves, and every post i read of niceguys just pisses me off.
I only get to play once every two to three months now, but I'm still in. Playing with dolls, er, I mean action figures, er, I mean manly strategy game pieces will always be cool in my book.
My sister-in-law calls minis "Battle-Barbies." I laughed my buttocks to jelly.
I'll play even if WK drops the game completely. Might even try to keep a tourney scene going with eBay prizes.
To paraphrase Security Chief Michael Garibaldi of Babylon 5 - "When they shut the station down, I'll be there to turn out the lights."
I've got too much time and money invested in the game to quit, besides who do you think keeps the trade flow going on MWRealms?
Well as i've just got into the Game i'm hardley going to jump ship...I like the game doesn't have the Mod Factor of CBT but at least i don't need to paint stuff unless i want to (And i want to, as some of it is shocking...)
I am here for the long run, yesterday we got two new players with a possible third unable to attend.
I started working now and can actually afford to start buying like I've always wanted to, so the only way I'm leaving is by prying my dead limp body from my collection.
I'm in it for the long run. With all the money I've invested there's no way Clan Sea Fox would ever back down! QUOTE]
All three of your units :p
My friends and I will always play the games we want, regardless of company decisions. It's been house rules and special scenarios for the last 2 years and that is not going to change. glad you all are staying on board the dropship.
Joke's on you, we have FOUR units ;)
The Hell's Horsies have three units... including one poser
Well, seeing as our venue closed down 7 months ago (and that was due to a land lord from hell), that hasn't stopped me from playing.
When we started we didn't even have a venue, so I guess there isn't much change there. I held an event last night, and we got 2 new players (the event Centurion03 is referring to) so this are looking good.
I remember back in the begining when all I had was a Dark Age starter and 3 FFE boosters. That kept me going for a year before we got propper support in South Africa.
