I went to a gaming store in Toronto to pick up a case of DC Unleashed Heroclix, but the owner did not get enough cases. They has VS in stock, so I picked up a starter and 2 boosters.

Well,we already got em in full force round these parts.

A local collectible show has booster boxes for $48.00 and boosters for $2.50 each.

-grin- good news for Montrealers - my shop's owner emailed me tonight and told me it cleared customs and will be there tomorrow!! WOO-HOO!! hrm...maybe I'll buy a 5th box while I'm there for the Sportsclix League tomorrow eve...

I phoned two places myself yesterday. One said tomorrow (i.e. today!) and the other said Friday or Monday. Guess I've got some shop checking to do.

yo, i was just wondering if anyone AROUND the san diego area knows of a shop that is already selling boxes or will in the very near future? thanks

Unfortunately for local stores in SoCal... it is not.

A weekly "show" that runs every Wed/Sat has tons of dealers and competition is really high so most prices are near wholesale unless the product is hard to get.

As TheBeyonder stated, boxes go for $48... and what's worse, is that many dealers sell packs (and yes... 2.50 or even 2.25 is the norm) and even singles.

So local stores are getting killed in more than just box pricing.

I don't know of a single game store located within 10 miles of that "show" and I do know that some stores have closed because they couldn't compete.

VS. Has arrived in Southern Florida! I'm very excited, my wife just went to pick up our 2 boxes (it's her day off from the Shop) saddly I have to work late tonight, but I'm psyched about opening them! WOO HOO!

I just got the word that "The store I work at" will have some in on Friday! Come in early we are getting them from three different distributors and I don't know when the others will arrive I think they are getting in the neighborhood of 9 boxes from the first distributor but when you consider that the owner and I are going to get 3 each that is not a lot left over.

We will be receiving ours cases today. I hope there's enough left for everyone after I'm doing going to the store :). Can't wait to build my three decks.

I just picked up 4 packs but plan on buying a box from my main local comic/card store.

In FOUR hours, we almost sold out of the product, and we ordered a large amount. Obviously, not large enough. We are getting more stock from our local distributor tomorrow.

My husband and I bought two booster boxes, and then came back to pick up not one, but TWO more. Four boxes sold to us, another 3 sold. I think we had one more tonight when I left the store an hour before closing.

Guys, this means we're taking over the world.

I opened my first box and got some really nice cards. I'm going back tomorrow to open another one. We orderred more then enough, but I still feel that we're going to need to acquire a lot more, since I myself, may just take one entire case :)

My local shop also reported great sales - down to one opened and one sealed box, with more coming tomorrow...seems to be selling almost as well as Unleashed!

Better than Unleashed at our(Shimmerize) shop.... The owner John said it's the fastest he's ever seen the first release of a card game sell.... Unleashed is doing ok, but Heroclix has definately dropped off a bit in our area, I quit myself and sold all of mine on Ebay...
