You are quite welcome. Thanks for the outstanding content. We should be able to get the text in white as soon as the mother office rolls out of bed, but punk never was easily accessible in the first place.
I love Mike Watt. I met him before a show here in Madison,WI. I went in to buy tickets and he was at the bar reading The Onion. He signed my tickets and was beyond cool.
What is up with the site? Half of stu's article can't be read unless you click and drag to highlight the text. Is this intentional?
It's called Chaos Magic. And it is fixed now. Thanks for noticing.
It took my 45 year old eyes a while to adjust to white text, but now that I caught the beat... that stuff rocks.
I really like the masthead now that I have stared at it for three hours straight. Especially the Hellboy part of the movie. Sweet stuff. I still can't believe that Vs. System itself is responsible for making Liz Sherman look that good. Very exciting times.
I love the British terms for punks. My wife (a psyche major) will appreciate the anti-social one. Although, it does sound like you're cussing when you say it. ;)
I love the fact that my article sees the word as totally positive and his takes it as totally negative. The inner city kids I teach have a completely different (negative) meaning as well... it seems that "punks" are very different things to different people.
All the best words are like that, and this one has the first-ever official Vs. System alternate format dedicated to it?

Watt update. It seems there are quite a few crossovers, I have received a tidy flood of emails in response to the punk rock article. And someone needs to get Vidi on the horn...
Mike Watt plays bass on the new Kelly Clarkson album.
I swear. It's true.
Seems her producer is an old skateboarder, and Watt is his hero too.
Truth is stranger. Still pinching myself. Can't wait to hear it.
Oh yeah, so in the UK... is the format called Random Chavs?
Hell no! Punks are in no way Chavs.
Punks, in my understanding, are people who break away from the mainstream, and do something different, even if it displeases other people. Sometimes it's with malicious intent, other times it's just a means of expressing yourself.
Chavs are gits/gitesses in burberry and white sports-label clothes who have nothing better to do than be offensive to people for the sake of it, and vandalise property.
(Disclaimer: Not all alternative people are Punks, and not all people who wear burberry and sports-labels are Chavs.)
