I agree with the people who wrote that they probably won't want a clix to remind them of this movie.
But really, can someone from Wizkids explain the need to buy a DC starter to get this fig? It might be a good way to bring new players into the game (maybe somebody will like this movie and buy Hypertime to get the fig), but what about us, the long-time players? Couldn't they come up with some other way for us to get one than to buy something we already have?
I really do enjoy Wizkids products, but they seem to come up with creative ways to get us to buy their backstock (for example, the cons, where people buy all kinds of old stuff they don't need just to get the LE's - after they run out of the new stuff, which doesn't take very long).
Despite my love for Hero Clix, these kinds of things put a bad taste in my mouth about the company.

Originally posted by CuriousLurker My comic shop isn't that fancy. They have an older cash register. Their receipts only print prices and not item names. Is that still fine?
Yes. This came up in a previous thread and BroMags said it was good. My store is the same way. The receipt just says "merchandise" (or something) and then the price. I used them for the MW redeption a few months ago and had no problem.

They did. It was in the initial announcement. I've been purposely holding off because the press release said that the starter had to be purchased on or after June 4th. It would have been much easier for me to pick one up yesterday when I got my comics... but I knew I was a day early.

The premier edition is a boxed set that comes with 10 set figs (E Batman, R Joker, V Aquaman, R Hawkman, R Robin, E Manbat... don't remember the rest). It also contains the DC starter map, the DC premier map (the one with the museum on it), tokens, dice, etc. Basically it's a starter set with set "standard" figs and the museum map.

Whats with all the hating on the movie. Who's willing to bet that at least a few of you bashing the movie(which they haven't even seen yet) paid good money to see Daredevil or The Punisher. No matter how terrible Catwoman is, it will be 10x better then either of those vomit pills, if no other reason then that it has Halle Berry in it.
Originally posted by SithSpecter She sounds like a great fig but I'm wondering if you'd be better off buying her on ebay. Less hassel and probably about the same over all price.
Well, if it's the same over all price I'd rather get the mail in offer... I'll get it quicker and I'll also get the 8 figs that come in the starter set (not to mention an extra set of tokens... which as a judge I can always use).

Your kidding, right? This movie is not like DD. DD was bad, I'll admit, but it still stayed true to it's comic roots (actually haven't seen Punisher, so I've yet to judge it). Now look at Catwoman. WB, trying to cash in on the recent superhero success and kissing Halle Berry's butt, has thrown out EVERYTHING about Catwoman. No Selina Kyle, no Batman. Their just using the name to attract people to see a superhero movie.
But here's the icing on the pile of dog carp: WB has been trying to pass this off as a true blue comic book movie. They have said that "there have been many Catwomen," referring to old TV shows that just hired different actresses to play the roll. I doubt any of these people have picked up a comic book in their life, let alone do research for the movie. And now their trying to appeal to the comic book fans further by doing this Catwoman heroclix figure. It's already bad enough that Wizard is covering this garbage (but Wizard has lost their backbone by now it seems), but now WB's trying to throw their movie into heroclix.
Halle Berry is in it so it's good? Do you mean A) since she's hot or B) that she's a good actress? If A, then just watch Swordfish or Monster's Ball. If B, see X-Men. Do you call that good acting? All she's doing is shoving her Oscar in people's faces and saying "hey, I'm an amazing actress, do whatever I say." Her ego has gone through the roof, and frankly it's just very annoying. Reportedly she said she was leaving X-Men because it was "bad for her acting career." How humble.
And that concludes my rant. Have a nice day.
My only hope is that the Big Lebowski kills me before the Germans can cut my d### off.
So, they are redoing Catwoman's origins. Same gimmic comic books have been doing for years. Catwoman is cool, new origins stories are cool. No reason the movie can't be cool. Might ####, might not, I'll wait to see it to find out. And I think the clix looks sweet anyways.
Correct me if I am wrong, but aren't the Hypertime starters now generally 15 dollars or less?
At first glance, you might say, "This sucks! Why do I have to buy a starter with figures I already have?"
Now you do realize that anytime they have a mail-away figure you normally have to buy a magazine correct?
Normally that book is around $5 right?
Then you buy 1 to 2 figures that could cost you $5 to $10 dollars right?
Unless I missed it, do you have to pay anything for his Catwoman figure once you buy the starter? If so, then complain, if not move on to the next paragraph. I did not read this to well because I have no desire in the figure.
So at $15 to $20 dollars you are spending about what you would on any other mailaway figure plus you are getting a chance for a unique that you could sell or trade that may be in your starter set.
I personally would not take this Catwoman figure if someone gave it to me along with $200 dollars.
