I think Flashpoint Batman is going to be a high dollar SR. I hope I pull him so that I might trade him for bigger wants. I'm going to predict he is actually the highest priced SR in the set.
Yeah, it could be. Too soon to say.
The name recognition goes a good way, but I don't know if that'll be enough. Still, honestly, looking at the other characters... yeah, I could see that, especially if he gets very good dial.

We'll see. Considering it is the Thomas Wayne Flashpoint Batman, the dial is sure to be different. It seemed he had far fewer technological gadgets at his disposal, but since I only got a taste of him in the Flashpoint main book, not having read any of the Batman Flashpoint tie ins, I'm not sure what else will differ.
Although I wouldn't be surprised to see this as the first Batman with Support. fwiw

All my info on him is second-hand, so the gist I received was that this was a harsher, more brutal Batman, but given his civilian profession Support's not only a possibility but they may have gone one better. If having Cyclops on a team allows the X-Men TA to heal team members 2 clicks, then an actual doctor with Support..?
The more I think about it the more I believe you're right about Batman possibly being the real money piece among the SRs. Black Adam's gotten a lot of attention, though, and rightfully so.
I know he has his medical background to fall back on. You even got to see a bit of it as he tried to patch up the Flash after their first attempt to restore Barry's powers. But given his other endeavors in the Flashpoint universe, maybe he'll have Probability Control as well.
I used the veteran Icons Superman team at the tournament today. Never lost a figure, and Superman didn't take a click of damage all day. Oops?
It is fun to listen to new players complain about how broken old figures are when they're using Nightcrawler and Cosmic Spiderman for the third week in a row, though.

Good for you. Honestly, by today's standards, Icons Supes isn't even all that great. Sure his top dial AV is great, and his Damage values are maybe the most consistent of any figure ever, but his defense is nothing better than average. I never feel bad about breaking out the old cheese when you know that you are going to have to consistently face the new cheese.

Did you win anything fun?
I used him with the full understanding that the old cheese doesn't stand up to the new cheese. His inconsistent dial and action inefficiency make him a pretty questionable choice. I won in two cases due to poor play on the part of my opponents and in one case on good map choice and bad luck for my opponent. But I was not expecting to win, and I'm glad the guy using a feated up Thanos lost for time in the second round or I almost certainly would have lost to him. So yeah, didn't feel too bad about using him. I never enjoy sweeping opponents as much as winning after a close game, but it was fun to use him for nostalgia and in anticipation of the Superman set.
I won a Bob, Agent of Hydra. Seems like fun on a Hydra theme team, and he's probably Worlds quality so I'll likely hang onto him for high-level play.

Characters I wanted from the Superman set that aren't there: Waverider, Jimmy Olsen, Desaad, Krypto, Atomic Skull, Brainiac (any version that doesn't look like the BatB version, preferably the green skinned mustached version), Mister Mxyzptlk, Professor Hamilton, Dan "Terrible" Turpin, Kalibak, Female Furies, Maxima.
Oh well, maybe next time.
I was REALLY surprised we didn't get more Furies. And Jimmy is the biggest no-brainer (I thought) for this set...so bummed we didn't get him.
Come on, are you not stockpiling Rob liefield latest nr1 Hawk & Dove?
Personally I will be getting multiple copies of Nr 2 and 7 which will be Liefield ones as well.
I always liked Hawk and Dove...then DC seems determined to do everything they can to ruin it for me (the whole Hank Hall being Monarch thing, letting Liefeld have anything to do with it, I know there are other things...but I get sad thinking about it).

Hank Hall should have never been Monarch. It was supposed to be Captain Atom all along, but when a spoiler leaked way too early, DC decided to alter the course of the story "to keep fans on their toes."
It made no sense and ruined that story.

Yeah, I think that was a case of "We aren't really doing anything with Hank, so we'll use him." Not only did it not make any sense...no one really cared other than actual Hawk and Dove fans who thought it was a load of bull. lol
