A while back someone shared "Pineapple Kryptonite" by Atarashii Gakko!, a bit of a weird young girls Japanese group. I have no idea how to classify their new video from about ten days ago, but here it is and I enjoyed it. It has English subtitles available. Forgive me.
I apologize (a little) for posting more than two songs today, but I just saw an old video of Prince and it reminded me what a great guitarist he was. His solo on While My Guitar Gently Weeps at the George Harrison memorial was memorable. I've not seen this video before.

That was pretty good and there's no denying Prince's talent but his ego was off the charts and when Sinead O'Connor did a better version of his own song than he did, he couldn't handle it. She paid him a visit once and she thought he was going to kill her.
I want these clixed: Doc Savage, Fu Manchu, Tarzan, The Shadow, The Green Hornet & Kato, Conan, Solomon Kane, The Phantom, King Kong, Universal Monsters, Black Orchid, Manhunter (Paul Kirk), Xemnu the Titan, unclixed Kirby Fourth World characters, and Lilith, Daughter Of Dracula.
Before technology decided to leave me in the dust and speed on past me, I liked to make mix CDs. I think these three songs that lean heavily on brass instruments rock pretty hard and make a good mix.

Thanks for reminding me of "Vehicle" by The Ides of March, your second suggestion here. I bought the 45 of this in 1970, when it first came out, and still have it. It is one of the great rock songs in my opinion.
Of course, I had to enjoy a couple of related songs and learned a couple of things about the band just today.
Formed in 1964, they were originally called the The Shon-Dels. Just before releasing an album they discovered the name was taken by Tommy James And The Shondells, so changed to The Ides Of March. Their only big hit came in 1970 and it was "Vehicle".
The most interesting thing I learned today is that the lead singer/guitarist Jim Peterik helped form the group Survivor and wrote the song "Eye Of The Tiger” for the movie "Rocky III", although he didn't sing on that song. I never knew that even though I saw Survivor live in Greensboro NC around 1982.
There's no way to convey in words what is going on here. It has to be seen. Trombones, tubas and Rage Against The Machine sounds like a joke no matter how you phrase it, but it definitely is not a joke and definitely is awesome. Even RATM has to be pleased with what Brass Against has done here.

Little disappointed you ad SlicktrickyRick didn't respond to the Chase song as well. The Chase song seems to be largely forgotten but it was a big hit when it came out which was the same time as the T-Rex hit which forced T-Rex to add Bang A gong to the title. They also are another rock music tragedy as Bill Chase died in plane crash along with his girlfriend and two band members in 74. To me Get It On is equally as good as Vehicle.

If it is any consolation, Get It On was my second favorite of the three. I love the tidbit about T-Rex having to add Bang a Gong, that's a great work around.
The older I get the more I enjoy High School and College marching bands. It really creates an atmosphere for sporting events and parades.
Since Brass Against was such a hit, I give you the George Mason Big Green Marching Band....

Love it. I still think it's hilarious that so many RATM fans had no idea where the music was aimed including one clueless blonde bimbo media hate monger that i can think of. I bet the dimwits burned their CDs. You have to be deliberately obtuse if the band name doesn't give you a clue.

Not sure why I don’t know this band “Moxy”; they aren’t obscure and their music is really good. I especially like their song “Can’t You See I’m A Star”. I think about the time they made their first record was about the time I married a girl who was a country fan, so I changed my tastes for a few years. Funny that Tommy Bolin played guitar on their first record, as I did get his solo album “Teaser”, which was recorded at that same time.
Really interesting to know that AC/DC opened for them back then.
What I did here was a musical Password, the first song that popped into head by the band Clutch that the title of Moxy's song made me think of. For example, Sail On Sail Away, the first thing I thought of was Release the Kraken. The funny thing to me, none of the three Clutch songs, lyrically, have anything to do with the other Moxy songs. Anyways, here's the results.
Sail On Sail Away - When this song gets to rocking about 0:54 in, it's pretty good, I can see how it got airplay.
Tommy Bolin is a former member of the James Gang (post Joe Walsh) and Deep Purple from Sioux City who also did a lot of session work before he let the drug scene destroy his life. He was a gifted songwriter also. This is my favorite song by him off of the album Private Eyes. He passed away in 1975. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A7FOTBdbPN8
