With the exception of Jimbo, Is everyone else excrutiatingly disappoinnted in EVERYTHING we've seen from BatB? I KNOW I'M not the only one! Lets hope Hawkman /Atom duo is good....

The starter set of "Temp" lanterns vs the real lanterns was bad enough. Give me my Dex-star !

Some of the set pieces I've seen I dont like either (like PG).

But for me the problem is the forced concept of duo's (when they suck). But maybe they will change the duo mechanic (as they did giants).

From what I've heard, thats one of the major changes coming with the Blackets night (also know as DC Zombies ) Starter.

You are correct. And afterwards realized that it was too powerful of a mechanic for the new guys. I did feel bad having to explain it to Zack round 1 and seeing that glazed look on his face. Knowing that we're going to have the new group of 4 show up I will attempt to build appropriatly.

Having a fun/theme restriction is fine for us, still just not sure about the new guys. Maybe just have the restriction apply only to the veterans and just encouraged for the new guys. If they want to run Batman with Rocket I don't have a problem with that.

I'm not disappointed at all. All of the SRs that have been shown are not very playable, but are a fan boys wet dream. That means they are going to be worth alot on the secondary market. I plan on selling all the SRs I pull immediatly and make more money than I spent on the brick.

Keep in mind we've only seen like 8 dials. There is still plenty more in the set. And if it's like any of the previous sets, the more playable and/or comic accurate dials are in the C's & U's.

I'm really excited for the starter. Orange Lantern Luthor, need I say more. Plus if there are some I'm not interested in, I can trade them for other figures. See Doombots from SI starter. And it means we'll get the other Rainbow Brigade members in the base set.

All I'm hoping for is a Ragdoll in the set. That completes the Secret Six.

Very excited for the Starter, but less so in the BatB so far.

Well, actually, I'm still excited, but dont' plan on collecting any of the SR's shown thus far. Tim and I are splitting the Case I ordered, actually, as I really don't need as many packs without the need for SRs.

However, unlike Roland, I cannot say I'm excited to resell the SR's for cash. I'd rather have new, fun clix to play with than a small profit. I'm willing to put the money down for the experience and fun.

I reserve the rest of my judgment for the CURs to be revealed.

Well I'm ordering a case for 200.00 from my LCS. I'm turning around and selling a C/U/R set for 40.00 to a friend of mine. I'm selling one of my BiBtB Bat/Cats for hopefully around 40.00.

SR's I'm on a wait and see. The Duo rules WILL change and it'll make them SOOOOOOOOOO much more playable. You'll want yours. (well mostly). But if I pull the GL/GA one...I'll sell it to recoup money or trade it for another I'd want. Shazam/BA...keeping that one. Two Flashes...keeping it. just depends. If I get a chase .....I'll check the other one and either keep, trade for the other, or sell.

Basically I want to "lose" 100.00 on the case. I'm ok with that. To make the money back and get SR's and possibly a chase...I'm all for that.

This is the first case I've bought since Critical Mass. I'm quite a bit gunshy as that case (old format) yielded me 6 U's back then. And 2 were dupes. UGH! Hate remembering that.

At any rate, this will be a good set. Bank on that.

And then there's the other thing I ordered. That'll net me some chases or cash straight up. Heh heh!

PG has been the first disapointment I have seen from this set so far.

We really needed a playble PG for the JSA... she needs leadership and Super Strength and at least an 11 attack and 4 damage. I can live with out HSS as long as she has charge.


She also needs a 6-8 range which it does not look like she has. (at least I am 99% sure she has the heat vision, I know she does not use it that much).

I think she could use a bit of indomidable based as well after her fight with zombie E2 but I could live without that.

It is officially Selection Sunday. Kansas wrapped up a #1 seed. Ohio State may get one depending on what they and Duke do later today. Miami fell just short losing to Duke in the ACC semis. UNLV lost to San Diego St, but will still make the tourney at an 8 or 9 seed.

With all that said in about 15hrs the brackets will be released. And I think it's about time we have our own Team Vegas tournament pool.

For those who want to participate, you will fill out 1 bracket. Entry fee is 2 boosters of BatB. First place takes all the boosters. If we have more players than I'm expecting there will be something for 2nd place too.

Plus I know one of the boosters I throw in will have both chases from this set and the other 3 a combination of Crisis supes and AA Batman chases.
