Usually there is one mafia person per 8 people. There's also a town bomb, a doctor, and a cop.

Each Night, the mafia coordinate a kill via pointing. doctor saves someone, cop investigates someone. Each action is done while everyone else has their eyes closed. Then they wake up and the mod announces who is dead, usually with a creative story.(my best one involved a skateboard, piano wire and an Easter basket) Then people get accused and give arguments about body language and so forth. Then a vote is cast much like they do in Congress. If over half vote, the person is lynched. I play it with the church youth group I work with. I'm not allowed to play anymore though, so I mod.

I should note I'd still like to see a mafia game where non-thread communication was outright prohibited, even for teams.

Just went to iTunes, I had wanted to get For Good from the Glee finale, and I decided to look at the Top 10 for Comedy. 9 of the 10 Singles were from The Lonely Island (which, okay, the new album is funny - not as good as Incredibad, but still, funny)

The weird thing is, number 9 was Weird Al's Amish Paradise. Like... how come *that* Weird Al song is getting downloaded?

JoH ran a game similar to this. The Mafia existed but wasn't even aware of each other's ID's (and, ipso facto, no communication).
