(Pre-Crisis, obviously) Name two heroes of Earth-One who were contemporaries of the Justice League (not time-travellers) and never joined the JLA, but participated in a JLA/JSA team-up.

Oh, and techincally, the Floronic Man. He wasn't a hero when he appeared, obviously.

I'm going to say no on a technicality. Those two were not "Earth-One" heroes but heroes of New Genesis in the Earth-One universe. And not the two I was looking for.

Let me be a little more specific: these two heroes were not part of any "third team" involved in a JLA/JSA team-up, be it the New Gods, Secret Society of Super-Villains, or any other. They stood with the JLA in these team-ups, while not officially members.

I thought of that, but figured "Earth One" is as mucha auniverse distinction as anything else.

No to both. As far as I know, Creeper only met the JLA one time and that wasn't a JLA/JSA team-up.

My memory's notoriously foggy, but I keep gravitating to the Earth-S team up. Thought maybe Creeper was in that.

Robin did join the JLA, albiet briefly, as Nightwing.

And Speedy, well, Red Arrow and all.

Not pre-Crisis, they didn't. It's neither of those; but one of the folks I'm looking for did become a Leaguer post-Crisis.

That should be interesting. Mr. McDuffie consistently wrote excellent Justice League cartoons (and just as consistently wrote awful Justice League comic books). What is this, a D2DVD movie?

There was an interesting article somewhere, wherein Duffie explained why hsi JLA sucked. He was being interfereed with constantly by crossover events and changes in other character's book. Which is why I like my contiuity loose.

In my seldom-humble opinion, his JLA sucked because it was 22-page fight scenes interspersed with bathroom humor (such as Roy's reference to Kendra's "slot"). Again, just my opinion.
