I think depending on how Fate is ruled, we'll see him. Like Dirk Anger, he may not end up being a Wolrd's winner, but he'll be good enough to scuttle a lot of teams and win local meta games.

"Ruled"? What is there to rule on? He seems pretty straightforward. Also, does his power affect traits? Are traits considered special powers?

Strange kicks out a ghost every round and spins the gauntlet. Chimp can outwit and push onto his super perplex clicks. You can use the Incap ghosts to add actions to superman teams as you'll always have more actions then him. And once strange can enter the fight with the gauntlets power he can Psy Blast through any armor superman teams may have.

What happens when the other team takes out one of your Astrals and then plays the "avoid" game for the rest of the round?

Red skull enjoys RS and pulse wave, with his own prob, also with a possible +3 attack, or +2 attack and +1 damage. Madame Hydra almost gurantees a hit, and if Skull single target waves their tentpole, good game from that point. He is also power cosmic so he can spin the gauntlet fast, and unlike other tentpoles, he has an exceedingly strong end dial.

Ok I am trying to figure out if this team is actually competitive or not.

I am hoping there is a better option to help Coulson with shield ta, but if not I would use the one from AVM.

Infinity Watch ATA does nothing for you here, since you're using the Gauntlet and will never have the chance to roll to pick up the Gem.

True I think that was just left over when I was debating on just doing the Soul Gem. I was looking at those pieces for their piercing damage though.

I'm pleased that I think I have a team that both smokes teh Strager teams and most anything else. But it needs testing.

I would be intersted to see if the IG Thanos is viable with the 40 pt full gauntlet. If there is a 250 pt version on that Thanos Dial, he may be a good choice.

Flaw with my team--

I planned it as a post-retirement Origins team, and retirement happens a month later! I don't think it can handle Nightcrawler.

Actually, 300 pt. Chase Thanos and 250 Dormammu with the gauntlet could be dangerous 300 pt. meta teams; Dormy with a full gauntlet could EASILY take 300 Galactus or Ziran.

That is going to be a sadly large part of the meta strategy at Origins, Nightcrawler and Metron with gauntlet can KO one figure and then run for the rest of the game.

Not sure how to best deal with them, Stranger has to come out at some point, they can keep running.

This team may be completely ridiculous, and I have not tested it at all. But I'm not going to Gencon or Origins, so I might as well post it.

Chase Loki + Gauntlet + Soul Gem 235pts
Astral Strange x5 65pts

300pts Mystical Theme with +6 to Map Roll, and 2 PC's.

Now this team may get destroyed. But 5 free moving, phasing Astral Strange's who have the chance to incapacitate have to count for something right?

I'd consider playing it just because it's so ridiculous. And if you get lucky with your dice, it could get frustrating for your opponent.
