Did it seem like he knew, or should've known? I mean, we are all human, and so sometimes we miss things. I know during NML Month #4, I had been dominating with a Birds of Prey team all evening, and in the final game, my opponent read Oracle's card, and told me I could only use her defense power when my figures had zero action tokens. I thought I understood it perfectly, and I guess I just didn't. I still managed to win, but I felt pretty dumb that it took me that long to realize that some stuff just is too good to be true.

So, my wife just got back from vacation only to find out she had been fired from her current workplace without any reason. She has demanded a meeting and an explanation, with union representatives present.
The positive side of things is that she is still employed by the city and they are forced to offer her other positions. Unfortunately the positions that are available on short notice are rather... unattractive, and the schedule probably won't be the same.
So yeah, not the best way to start out.

Well, we'll see. My wife actually switched unions a while back since the union she should belong to is utterly hopeless. She has been able to get som good help from the new union though, and this is very basic stuff that they should be able to cover.

Heh. Just got home myself, and the return netted me a one-hour time shift that gave me an extra hour of sleep. So getting up at six was practically sleeping in.

The problem is my kid is big enough to enjoy having the apartment to himself, so he doesn't mind letting us sleep in at all... even when we probably shouldn't.

I have been having trouble with proboards all morning, which is delaying the casting couch mafia opening. My apologies all around.

I might just hold off on opening the mafia game for the week. I think others are likely to be at Gencon too.

That's probably a better way to go, actually. Con season usually slows things down. I was considering opening my mafia game this week until I realized the dates on the calendar.

Sounds like you got some excellent pulls. BL Aquaman in Sharknado mode is tons of fun. I wish I had had multiples in my sealed tourney as well. As it is, a friend of mine told me to get some AA Black Manta SR's and he would mod the sharks into zombies. Just awesome!!!

So, I don't really have the time to go Google diving for this, but watching GotG this weekend, you can clearly see Brendan Fehr (he of Roswell, CSI: Miami, Bones fame) as a Corps member, but it's blink and you'll miss it. I'm not saying he's a A or B list actor, but he's obviously recognizable, and I immediately focused on him, only to never appear again. Anyone know why he was cut?
