No, I do not.

Then there has to be a disconnect somewhere between play testing and design. Too many things get through or an even more disturbing thought is that design is making things more and more 'broken' intentionally.

Keep in mind that the stuff that's coming out now is the stuff that was playtested last year, when Brian Rupp was in charge of development. So the complaints about "current" playtesting are actually complaints about a year ago when there was a guy in charge that flat-out ignored feedback from the playtesters.

I was around for just one or two cycles after that, but the difference was readily apparent. The real test of the playtesting effectiveness of the current group will actually be with the next set to come out, which will be the first one done entirely by the new regime.

But you are correct that sometimes things are deliberately designed to be more powerful, and that's a terrible philosophy, because when they aim high and miss high, the result is game-breaking.

Current Events Update

1) For jwb, djmbilbo and Bud... our venue was broken into last night. They smashed the front door and stole the empty cash register. Sadly the crooks were morons as they ignored the thousands of dollars in Golden & Silver Age comic books that were in the glass case beneath the register. Fog Vapes and the Goat were also robbed. Sadly this burglar did a better job then when the ninja got stuck in the vents at the old place.

2) I had my knee x-rayed today and visit the orthopedic doctor tomorrow. I have limited driving privileges so I am being told repeatedly by my other half to not attend Wednesday's game. Today's doctor is leaning towards surgery to repair the knee.
