Yeah, because I think you only get one Theme team prob for Generic keywords no matter how many you have on your team. Just remembered that. Still don't know if I wanna intentionally push Loki off of his Shape Change/Pulse Wave click though. Not sure it's worth it.
I know a lot of people are high on Stranger. But what if you just rush him with 2 or 3 figures that deal 3 damage. Bust down a barrier token and smack one of the A.I.M. Renegades in the face once or twice what ever it takes for a knock out, then run away with HSS? If you take out the figure that was cleared. The next turn he couldnt barrier again because pushing takes Renegade off of barrier. So by turn 3 Stranger has no more barrier to power up his Gaunlet and must counter attack. That mighty 10 attack value doesnt strike a lot of fear into others.
If it were me i would ignore Stranger until both of his renegades were knocked out then go after him.

feeI don't think that Stranger team is gonna be the team to beat at worlds. Too many people will be preparing for it.
I kinda had that team in mind when I made my Loki/Astral team. As you could free move phase through the barrier and then try to incapacitate whichever AIM Renegade has a token.

Only if your opponent doesn't know how to use barrier.
There's no reason to leave unoccupied squares behind the barrier. As a result, P/T might let you pass through the barrier, but with no legal square to attack from it means little.
But, in general, I agree that the stranger team wont win worlds. Too many people gunning for it.
How is Catwoman indomitable? Everyone deserves it before her, even Aunt May.
Beast Boy seems like a great option to me. The ability to change into a different form depending on needs AND the Outsiders TA to nerf perplex, enhancement, gauntlet stat increase. With him in mind as a strong candidate IMO I tinkerd and came up with this idea.
DC75 Beast Boy
FF Bizaro
GG Mole Man
DC75 Gleek.
Cosmic Cube
BizThis gives you Bizaro as a strong attacker with a good dial, packing prob and plex. Mole Man has outwit and stealth for possible LoF blocking and protection. Plus he can MC bizaro to get him to attack twice a turn. BB is a strong, versatile secondary attacker with his different forms, and outsiders nerf Gleek offers a cheap perplex, tie up as needed. Sure, he gives a temporary plex to the enemy, but 1) its only until end of turn so predictability will be in your favor. AV, Damage, Movement or Range. 2) BB can outsiders the most likely candidates to put a wrench in the free plex,or any other number bumps.
If I was going, this is most likely the team I would play. Has done well in testing due to gamma bomb and gtr! Takes out stranger barrier and other barrier teams quickly. But the sets we get released by worlds may shake this up.
58 GX015 Tabitha Smith
55 IH208 General Thunderbolt Ross
99 GX049 Archangel or 100 SM010r Supergirl
5 IHS101 Gamma Bomb
35 SM025 Matter-Eater Lad
35 GX014 Roulette
287 or 288
Low on points I know, haven't figured out a good filler. Tabitha time bombs Ross, Ross airstrikes, mel copies brotherhood for transporting Ross and SHIELD for attacking turns. Between bomb going off and airstrike, barriers are a non-issue and it deals with all the support figs. Then all I have to do is running shot in to deal with the big guy(s). I prefer having the PB granted by archangel and it's worked well but the problem was stealth so I opted for Supergirl and that worked very well. Great atk with a pc, +2 range from shield and +2 or 3 DMG from shield and enhancement...usually will be 2 so then she shoots for 6 with a 15 square range. And with the shield TA, tabitha turns into a fantastic 2nd attacker on those RS clicks.
IH The Leader
Chase Red Skull
Astral Dr. Strange + IG, Space Gem
The idea is pretty simple. Astral Strange can free-carry Leader. The idea, then, is that Leader and Strange can do a TK yo-yo to get Red Skull to where his pulse wave can do the most damage.
I picked Leader for his double Outwit, which will help shut down opposing HSS and the like, and in a fix he can Mastermind damage onto the Astral projection. Plus, Leader is tough enough to shoot out a barrier to open the way for Red Skull.
So I don't think this team would have too much trouble dealing with Stranger/Barrier shenanigans, but I feel it may be weak against C Superman with some TK. Any thoughts?
"Because I am Doom. Destroyer of worlds. What gods dare stand against me?"
I played this team earlier tonight and it did pretty well, although I can't help but feel it could be improved, especially since it does require a remarkable amount of finesse to do well with. I lost to a Stranger team, but that might have been attributable to bad luck (he won the map roll and put us in a labyrinthine map, he disarmed the bomb almost right away, and I rolled 3 on my first three crucial attack rolls). However, I beat every other team I faced reasonably easily.
SM055 Superman + Kryptonian ATA
SM017 Superboy
IH208 General Thunderbolt Ross
Gamma Bomb
Like I said, it could use work, but I get the feeling E-1 Superman can be winning figure. Probably needs prob control somewhere....maybe split up superboy into two figures that do similar jobs but sum up to better than him (the new 50 pt enchantress is perfect for this, but not until it comes out). Full disclosure, I might have a problem with never using the gauntlet and trying to get too creative with my teams haha.

I had this as a thought for a variation on my team I posted above, although I haven't tested it as much yet. It is about as versatile as you can get with 300 points, the only potential major problem is your attack rolls are not overwhelmingly accurate, so that is a risk you take (somewhat mitigated by the double TK and Xavin's perplex). Tell me what you guys think.
SM055 Superman + Kryptonian ATA
GG014B Astral Dr. Strange + Infinity Gauntlet w/Space Gem
GG022 Xavin
IHS101 Gamma Bomb
SM022 Sun Boy
Alternatively, replace Sun Boy with Skull Buster (you have to leave off the Krpytonian ATA though). It really just depends on if you think indomitable is better than Pulse Wave, ES/D, and being a wildcard. Of course, HoT Moonstone + Thunderbolts ATA is an option before July 1st instead of Sun Boy.
Fun idea I came up with:
CW Hawkeye w/ Tbolts- 106
Johnny Quick x2- 100
JL52 Enchantress- 50
Full Gauntlet on hawkeye- 40
Total- 296
If you can put more than one ATA on a team( I forget if you can) then add All Star Squadron to both the Quicks for an even 300. Has a lot of potential with prob, two perplexes, tk, and a whole array of gauntlet powers to choose from. I can't wait to try this team out.
