So because it's black and white, AND read backwards, you don't get it? That's a little weird, dude. And there are really good frontward-read comics out there. Terry Moore's Echo is one I'd recommend.

Anyone else collect Minimates? I just got one pack to get the Sinister and now I turned into a junkie. Just ordered all of the AoA pieces and got some more lined up next paycheck. Damn plastic.
There's some more pics in my album on this site too.
Wait till you discover the Toys R Us exclusives! They did quite a few AoA pieces (Blink, Sabretooth, Holocaust, & Morph)
I got those ordered. :D Also ordered Age of X, Curse of X, Deadpool Corps, X-Force, and just ordered the Variant Mr. Sinister AoA. Then I'll start on the 616 X-Men pieces.

In Ulthar, no man may kill a cat. In Utah, no man may marry a cat. These rules were made because of the ramifications of them happening before.

Let me know if there's anything you want more info/pictures of. I pretty much have every non-movie marvel piece that isn't a regular person (Mary Jane/Gwen Stacey) made. Though I had to cave on that recently because they put freaking SHIELD Agents with Aunt May & J Jonah Jameson! The bastards!
CuriousLurker is a Minimate fan too but he's stopped buying remakes unless they are really good remakes.

The backward read thing doesn't cause that much trouble for me, although sometimes I get confused about which order the word bubbles go in. It's more of a combination of the smaller pages plus the black and white illustrations plus the art style, which tends to use page-clogging stuff like heavy motion lines and sound effect characters that take up too much space and that are overlaid by English sound effects that combine to make it so that I can rarely follow more than 75% of the action in a manga. The rest of it has a tendency to look like a mess of lines to me that either is incomprehensible or takes a long time to decode.
People say that whether or not you have a taste for Japanese pop culture tends to depend on whether or not you were exposed to it as a kid, and I wasn't really. There are still Japanese movies and TV, and video games obviously, that I enjoy, but I've never been able to get the swing of their comics, and not for complete lack of trying. Maybe that is weird, dude, but I can't really do anything about it.
Western black and white comics don't ever really give me that problem because the composition tends to be more spaced out, the lines aren't as heavy, and the pages are usually larger.

Former "TMNT" voice actor Robbie Rist, meanwhile, went so far as to claim that Bay is "sodomizing" the franchise.
"You probably don't know me but I did some voice work on the first set of movies that you are starting to talk about sodomizing," Rist wrote in a message to Bay, according to TMZ. "I know believing in mutated talking turtles is kinda silly to begin with but am I supposed to be led to believe there are ninjas from another planet? The rape of our childhood memories continues. ..."
Michael "EXPLOSION!" Bay's Teenage EXPLOSION! Mutant EXPLOSION! Ninja EXPLOSION! Turtles EXPLOSION! movie is gonna be a blast!!!! EXPLOSION!
I also like the Mini Mates. The only one I have out right now is Stilt-Man because I got him an extra section of stilts at NYCC.

Is the Sentinel the same size as Galactus? Is it a stand alone piece or come in a set?
The big Sentinel and Galactus are both statues (they don't move even though they are sculpted to look like they have joints). They came on their own and have begun to vanish from the market over the last 3 years. They originally sold for 80 bucks. Are they worth that? Not really but the Galactus was a gift and I caved on the Sentinel for completion's sake.
A great way to get stuff is through lots. It is especially great if you don't have a lot of them. Stay away from that corndog guy on ebay. That guy's a rip-off artist (but the dude sure does have some rare ones).
There's a forum called Minimate Multiverse. They have some good people there who sell their stupid stock piles every once in a while.

Nope. I can't understand mangas. Just looks like lines to me. Something about the black and white, the poorly-staged action, and the two layers of sound effects characters.
And BOOKS? HA!
Books.
I try to be open minded about Manga and I can't get into it My brother bought me this five part Manga bible for my birthday. I tried to enjoy it. Didn't happen.

I think there is an ebb and flow to it. People get involved in the hobby, become passionate and some get disinterested. Some stay, some go. Some voices get louder, some disappear gradually. IMO, its natural with any hobby.

Who's House? Run's House!
This post for me invokes this image of Jack Nicholson as the Joker wearing a Wizkids shirt yealling "Ship 'em ALL! We're gonna take 'em out a WHOLE NEW DOOR!" while cases upon cases of only Hulks, Iron Men and Batmen roll by.

Minimates were plastic crack for me for years. And then Diamond Select/Art Asylum killed my interest by producing waves upon waves of Spider-Men and Wolverines and cut the DC line. It broke me of the hobby. Actually that sounds eerily familiar.
