In High School I had a couple of buddies who were EvilJosh and Super Jeff. Through general goofing around I became the Nifty Ranger sidekick to Super Jeff. In college I decided I wasn't a sidekick anymore. I also decided I wanted to be a Captain. So I ended up with CaptainNifty as an AIM handle, and have used it as often as possible since.
It's a completely ridiculous story, but what's a geek to do?

10th grade spring break trip to Hawaii (my first time ever) and I asked to take surfing lessons. I'd been watching surf competitions on TV and thought it'd be cool to glide on the water like that. Get into the lesson and it was a blast. I was pretty successful even though I didn't have super strong arms yet. Apparently on one of my runs, I went out to where the waves were breaking a little stronger than he'd prefer us to go toward being new surfers. He said, "Dude, that was pupule! I can't believe you took on that wave as a beginner!" I didn't know what he was talking about but I felt pretty cool. pupule (pronounced poo-poo-lay) means crazy or insane in Hawaiian. Since then, I've used this handle for most anything online related.
I was working with a good friend of mine on a story we were writing, (Finished the first chapter.) We needed a name for the villains island, and I just pulled this name out of my hat, Gwachitallemalla. Now, it kinda just stuck and I started using it for anything I do online, because it's guaranteed to be available, and if it's not available, I know I've already joined that and just need to remember my password.

Mine is the name I used in an old Massive Multiplayer Turn-based strategy game called Archmage I played religiously back when I was still in high school. I liked the name so much I've stuck with it through pretty much all of my online existence (even if I don't roleplay anything like the original version of the character in most games )
And it's actually not inspired by Sauron's old Boss, the similarity is a complete coincidence.
I just always thought is was Danish for Milk #####...

Damage Trick Arrows: Give Speedy a ranged combat action; Speedy can remove from the game up to three hindering terrain markers, or barrier terrain markers (removing makers one at a time) to which he has a clear line of fire at the time the marker is removed, after which he can make a ranged combat attack.
what falls under hindering terrain markers (or barrier terrain markers)?
obviously, it would included terrain markers placed by characters, but would it include objects or debris tokens?

Mine started back when I was in Highschool as well. I moved around growing up, so it started as TheNomadKid. Grew up, changed some words around a bit, got really into knights and fantasy genres, until I settled on TheVagrantKing.

So where's your nickname come from and is there anything significant to it?
When I used to write stories as a kid, the main character was always someone named William Peers. Don't know why, it just seemed like a good hero name. So when the login I used in college started being taken everywhere I tried to sign up, I started using Peers instead.
Then Wikipedia was born, and I was able to see who William Peers really was... a U.S.Army General who had lead commando squads and was responsible for investigating the Mai Li massacre. I continue to use the name as a stand-in for my main character whenever I write. It certainly does seem like a good name.
... also, whenever I join a forum, I can declare that they are no longer without Peers. I like bad puns.
They are different. One is from Earth 2 before Crisis on Infinite Earths and the other is the current (at the time of Blackest Night) Superman from Earth 1/New Earth. The Earth 2 is Kal-L (the Brave and the Bold chase) and the Earth 1/New Earth is Kal-el (10th anniversary set chase).
