I have a thought on the villains game. I'd call it "Face Off," we take our 1 bad guy from each team and line them up randomly. They land in line facing each other. My Kang facing your Ultrahumanite. Then the Carnage begins! Alternatively we could have a few spots on a map where, say two chracters from each group start off face to face. Kang and Ultron in A23,A24 and Ultrahumanite and Joker in B23, B24. Whaddaya think?
That's fine. Will we use all the Bad Guy teams? Some, like Suicide Squad, Hydra, and Serpent Society don't have a lot of options. Perhaps we could have just one slot for all the teams that couldn't quite cut it all by themselves, so you could pick Viper while I picked Deadshot. Just a thought...
Circe's going to attack Black Panther. AV9 on DV15, needs a 6. Gets a 3. T'Challa gets a reprieve

She-Hulk tosses lo at Grodd. Needs 5, rolls 5. 2-1 to Grodd. Just enough to make him harmless for She-Hulk.
Black Panther rolls for break away. Gets 6. This guy is charmed. Thought of attacking but that would do little good. Moves to R6, stealthed.

As for the villains game there's a number of ways we could do it. I like the whole you choose/I choose thing however that doesn't mean we can't tweak that. Maybe we can agree on certain teams, have a couple of optional choices as well (like Mystic baddies, non-affiliated ones like Mandarin and Madame Masque). Tell me what parameters you are comfortable with and let's go from there.
"Here kitty kitty, here kitty kitty," Circe says walking outside the building and into the yard. She had just hit the Black Panther with a psychic blast she was sure would be devastating.
"Where could you ron off to you little scamp?" her words teasing but the tone increasingly frustrated. Quick. To the left. Movement. She turns. Twitches. Palms extended in attack mode.
Mrrrrrrowww. "A cat?" she says as it walks past her. "A black one. An omen that the Injustice League will prevail." She bends down with an evil look to touch the cat. Cat hisses. Circe hisses back. The cat claws Circe on the arm and runs away, seconds out of range of her blast the follows.
The Panther watches this from a far. Hiding in plain sight is a gift of his. Stealthily he slips away into the nearby bushes.
Grodd's harmless by himself, but not with a little help from his friends. Joker will Perplex up Grodd's damage to 2. Grodd attacks She-Hulk, AV8 on DV14, needs a 6. Gets a 9 for 1 more hit to She-Hulk after Toughness.

I like "the draft" myself. The team's we'd certainly use are Brotherhood, Masters of Evil, Minions of Doom, Sinister Syndicate, Batman Enemy, Superman Enemy and Injustice League. That's 7. Would be best if we have an even number to make the draft fair. There are technically enough "name" villains in the Mystics, Hydra, Serpent Society, and Suicide Squad for us to take 1 each at least, but not enough choices to really make it fun. I think we could group them all together in one Minor Group slot. (Include the Skrulls too in case anyone feels like running Super Skrull.)
There are three ways to go with the unaffiliated characters. Well, 4 really, but just making them a 9th 'team' brings us back to an odd number, so I'm discounting that option.
1. Ignore them altogether. This is a game about teams.
2. Allow us to take an unaligned figure instead of one of the minor teams. I'm least inclined toward this one. Defeats the point if giving the minor teams a slot. Who wouldn't take Deathstroke over Anaconda?
3. Make taking one unaligned figure mandatory (a ninth team if you will), then to even things out, a tenth "free choice" slot, allowing us to pick a second villain from any one group.
Personally, I'd go with option 1, but if you like option 3, I'm okay with that too.
Joker can't perplex Grodd's attack, there's a wall there, LOF in L7 blocks. Want to try a different turn?
We can do this as a variation of the team thing we did before with heroes. I like the idea of adding unaligned, free choice and minor teams. Still think 10 figures could be too much. Maybe this: 6 of the 7 major teams, 1 minor, 1 free choice. That's 8, I guess 10 isn't too much of a stretch.
Better idea might be to use option 1 with not MORe than 1 guy from each team. Also to do this face off kinda thing we should agree on the number of characters we'll each use. Best part is picking 1 at a time, that's kind of fun.
Argh..so much for my next move. I've no choice but to have Quasar attack Grodd. Needs 9, rolls 10!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Wow...and not so wow. Now he's on his last click with outwit. Oi!! Sometimes those lucky rolls really fool you.

Visibly shaken, Quasar is frustrated. He wants, needs to be able to help the Avengers but since She-Hulk hit him he hasn't been able to accomplish much.
Enter Gorilla Grodd. Taunting. Large. And for Quasar, in range. He fires up his quantum bands and lets out a charge upon his foe.
Grodd expected the attack, not the ferocity. Severly beaten he falls, down but not out.
"Ready to call it quits, Grodd?" Quasar asks.
"Not just yet, young one, "Grodd breathlessly replies, "Just be careful of the cornered foe...."
"Hold him still, Fur Face," the Joker called, running over to join Grodd, then his voice turned coldly evil. "I want to see if he's heard this one," preparing his Joker-gas flower.
Circe channeled the mystic forces and conjured a bolt of power which she hurled at She-Hulk. She-Hulk grunted with the impact.
"My, you are a tough one, aren't you dearie? That bolt would have brought down a lion."
"Lucky for me that I'm not a lion then, eh?" She-Hulk replied.
Quasar will attack Grodd. Needs 7, rolls 5. A miss and Quasar pushed himself out of the game.
She-Hulk attacks Circe with LO. Needs 7, rolls 5.
Not looking too good for team Avengers.
I have a thought on the villians team. 8 piece team. Every team should be chosen but only one of us gets to chose from a team. If I chose Magneto, only I get a choice from the Brotherhood. Now I see 12 teams of potential baddies between Dc and Marvel, so we each get 6 choices. 7th choice is unaffiliated, 8th is wild card, if you want a Brotherhood even though I chose Magneto, you can chose him here. For that matter we don't have to do any teams, random villians are fine for this face off concept. I do think we limit bcf choices to one each. What kind of advantage would 8 bcf figures be landing right next to an opponent.
"My my my," Joker says getting out a pistol, "What a pretty boy. You just need a little haircut. Let's play William Tell."
"Not in this lifetime, clown," Quasar says. Summoning all his might be tries to hurl another quantum bolt at his enemies but finds he can barely stand up. He falls to the ground and looks up towards Joker and Gorilla Grodd.
"Tsk tsk tsk," Joker says, "Some people just can't take their knockout gas."
Grodd moves back to M5 and Outwits She-Hulk's Toughness.
Circe will push to attack She-Hulk AV9 against DV14 +1, needs a 6. Whoa. And a well-timed 12 from Circe means 3 to She-Hulk and she's down. Circe takes 1.
I'd say that's probably just about game. Black Panther would really have his work cut out for him taking down the rest of the League all by himself.
