True, but it currently seems that the Hulk persona and the Banner persona have reached some sort of detente. I don't want to spoil the events of Planet Hulk (because everyone should go catch up with the story so far), but in one of the recent conversations the Oldstrong had with Hulk, she was actually talking to Banner, and Banner seemed to be in agreement with the way Hulk was handling things.

Plus, Banner was also betrayed by the Illuminati--he was exiled, too. He is also witness to the events that have occured on Sakaar. I'm hoping that World War Hulk will feature a Hulk/Banner "team-up". Banner's brilliance and Hulk's rage could be a potent combo.

Is it at all possible that BB and Hulk will pound on each other for a while and then somehow come to an agreement to join forces? I mean, I've read rampant speculation that The Illuminati misjudged BB's support for their Hulk solution anyway. Bolt has his own gripes against Earth in general.

The reason I wonder about this is that a) Hulk will NOT lose the first fight he encounters in his showcase event and b) it seems unlikely Marvel would have Hulk lay waste to the Inhumans right now.

Of course, a lot of things have happened recently that I would never have thought Marvel would let happen.

I'm counting on WWH to wash that icky Civil War taste out of my mouth...

I wonder how The Hulk will feel about Steve Rogers' (apparent) death.

My guess, he'll find it both sad and ironic. It'll be the standard irony of the Hulk, people label him the monster yet it was those who would give him that label who turned on Cap and the other heroes who have saved their lives many times and that marched Cap up the steps where he could be shot. It'll be one of his usual "Who's the real monster here?" lines. And he'll probably feel some sadness because he probably felt there was a level of respect between Cap and him. Cap would show up with the Avengers when the Hulk was on a rampage or whatnot but other than that, I don't really remember him hunting him or actively trying to deceive him. Tony on the other hand seemed to relish going after the Hulk, even when he wasn't a threat, and never really tried to understand him.

I'd say the most grieving you'll get out of him at this point is that, of all the possible superhero deaths, Rogers wasn't near the top of his wish list. Other than that, if you'll pardon him, he's got catastrophic bodily harm to dish out.

what will be this? a mini? only Hulk comics? or a company corssover like Civil War??

I like the idea of hulk and BB teaming up. Somehow though I think they will beat each up a bit, but HULK will eventually get the upperhand, take down BB, but spair him for not having much to do with his exiling.

I think that Hulk will be pissed that Cap is dead, because out of every encounter I have read between them Cap treated him with respect, and that is why, even though they fought and HULK could have "SMASHED" him, he didn't. There for I think HULK will also see this as an exuse to REALLY let the rest of the illuminaty, and especially Iron Man have it.

I wonder what Spidy will do?

Oh, man, You know what would be cool, is if Iron Man, once he knows of the Hulks presence, sends his team of Villians to stop the Hulk. This would just pissssss of the Hulk and he would just desimate them. I really hope something like that happens.

I really hope Hulk will be the voice of every comic reader:

"what have you done!?"

"Cap is dead?"

"you will soo regret all this Joe Q!! "

After World War Hulk, we'll see how much the Superhero Registration Act is worth now that even a well-trained Iron Man team couldn't stop people from dying as "collateral damage"

Yeah, the image of the new Thunderbolts struggling to bring in Jack Flag is a lot more ominous (for them) in light of the fact that Hulk's on his way...yeesh, that'll be ugly...

Hmmmm...maybe Hulk SMASH Gargan and Brock be back?!?

I'm sure it will follow the Civil War template At least for a year.

It will run through/cross over several titles along with the one shots that kick yourself for for missing.
