I've gotten a bad DC# before as well. I emailed the person I was trading with and the next day received my figs right before I got the correct number.
I've done about 15-20 trades with my local playing group -which I prefer since I can hand them the figures and get others back in person.
The issue with this is that they are sometimes looking for the same figures.
I've done a few trades with another site, just under 10. No issues, but not anywhere as active as this site.
Most of my finds are on the evilbay, but I don't have as much money as I used to.
On here I currently have 10 so far. Here's to getting some more. I have been burned twice (in a row) here and that does put a sting in your mouth. Another issue I've seen is that some people try and get as much out of a newer trader for their haves than is in any way fair.
"A person who aims at nothing is sure to hit it."
"Enjoy life. There's plenty of time to be dead."
"He who dies with the most toys is, nonetheless, still dead."

If somebody is lowballing you, let them know that you've also got a much better offer, so they'll need to be more reasonable if they want your figures. See if that changes anything.
I would like to get some opinions on this, I would like to do some trading on this site. But I haven't really made any buddies I think i have two. but hard for me to make time to do so. not a scammer but haven't made a trade tread either. Suggestions how can I get into the trade game???
Good luck to you! I haven't traded much on line at all, doing so mostly with locals and pieces in hand. I have had the fortune to enter into a couple here, and did not know what to do. The other person has always been kind enough to walk me through it (send my piece first as a new trader with a low number etc). I just can't remember how to give someone feedback. In any case I have been fortunate to have dealt with honest people.
This thread is soooo great wish I'd have read it before I lost my Thorbuster! But when ya learn the hard way you don't forget. Thanks for all theese posts.
how do i post my haves and wants. i dont know how to exactly.
You can either make a list of your Haves and Wants, and post that in your trade thread, or you can go to the 'Units' section. Once there you simply click on a set, then once the set opens up, you click on the individual figure. Once that opens up, under the picture of each figure, there are 3 'tabs' Keep, Have, Want. Simply click the up or down button to adjust. Make sure that the figures you put into your Haves, are the figures you want to trade away. I list my personal collection in the Keep part. Of course the Wants is figures you are looking for.
If you need more help, just ask.
Trade to Canada. We're friendly, and we love Beavers..........
A couple of tips for the first page. Should probably note that the realms can't enforce any trade outcomes (that should be in bold red) to let people know that they are trading at their own risk. Or some similiar warning, all in big bold letters. Another thing I see often here, which is very sketchy, is asking for gifted paypal payments. Sellers, you need to factor those fees into your prices, because otherwise the buyer has no recourse in getting a refund via paypal - which is your only recourse realistically.

SD;
While I agree entirely with your second point (about Paypal), the first one cannot be made any more clear, with a single read through the rules, and people are supposed to read the rules before posting or making trades. It could be explicit, and in bold red, as you suggest, but I don't see how anyone could infer otherwise.

Yeah I don't think it's unclear or anything but a big red header stating that you trade at your own risk, say at the top of the trading forum, might give people that moment of introspection where they realize "this guy claims to have 8 copies of each con exclusive and wants a $25 Hulk chase for one. He wants me to send first."
Since I am a new trader and the person I am trading with has 2 negative feedbacks (both for agreeing to make the trade but backing out without telling the other person but before any figs were sent) should I still be expected to send my trade first? It's not a problem if thats the case I just wanted some advice since I am new and don't want to mess up. Thanks!
