Very happy with now Neca has come so far so fast with the sculptures and playability. Granted would like to see some new figures instead of remakes, but again overall very excited and can't wait for DC 75th and Giant Size X-Men.
Are you familiar with the Brightest Day source material? No one's participating on any teams right now. Seems to me that the figs are pretty accurate as a result.
they have made plenty of characters with team abilities that were not on that specific team...
lets see: norman osborn with shield, all of the guardians of the galaxy with defenders, power pack with fantastic four, secret six with suicide squad and on and on...
my point is that they dont have to be in that specific team at that time to have a little extra something that a team ability gives them...
i just dont understand how they can put out a starter complete with maps, rules, and dice and not give the characters as much as they can for new players to learn off of...
yeah i know, im stupid and wrong and better yet im not a DC fan. but i tell you what, with clix like this coming out i probably never will be...

I suspect you are inscribing tone and manner into my last post that wasn't there.
I was just asking a question, and then offering something that could possibly clarify the issue or at least act as an alternate view worth considering.
That's all.

You have to remember that with the exception of Norman Osborn, all of the other team assignments were done prior to the new Alternate Team Ability cards. In all the other cases a team was assigned to a team ability that closely resembled something that would make sense for their team. And in at least 1 case they have a Feat ATA to grant them their own team ability in place of their printed one.
In the case of Norman Osborn, he took over SHIELD and turned it into HAMMER so it's barely an argument. Just because the organization changed it's name, it doesn't negate the fact that it's still got some semblance of the original organization.

The same argument can be made for those complaining about the lack of team keywords. Personally I'm quite pleased with both the lack of team abilities and the keywords chosen for the characters in this set. I like that they included a Brightest Day keyword. I only which they retroactively granted some sort of keyword the the characters in the Blackest Night set.
I don't feel that these figs should have any team symbols since they were not working within those teams for the series. But I DO love the fact that they included a brightest day keyword, since they are involved in the storyline they should be connected by a keyword.
I also agree that it would be awesome if they errata the characters in the blackest night set to include a common keyword. I don't use any of them b/c I only like playing themed teams.
Is the character card a spoiler for Brightest Day? I didn't know Hawkgirl came back as Shiera, not Kendra. I'm actually reading the series but i guess not that carefully!

In defense of Blackest Night, I'll say they probably didn't give them a shared keyword because future skittle corps members were just around the bend. Probably at least in development when Blackest Night came out.

yeah well, this new set still sucks like the other set... (something about putting a rose on a turd and it smelling better or what not)

I usually prefer pieces that don't have team abilities, oddly enough. There are exceptions, of course, and they're usually TA's that don't require a partner to use (Mystic, Bat Ally, Ultimates), but in general it seems like characters without TA's are more efficient.

OK, I'll be the first to say it: Too little, too late WizKids! You're thunder has been stolen on this product because you waited to long to do official previews.
Really? Can it really be too little too late for a figure that's not out yet? Has anyone missed out on the chance to play or buy this figure? No. I don't think people care if WK spoiled this or my dad. Either they're excited for the figure or they're not regardless of where the info came from.
