If the IG shows the Power Gem and I have a character with a PRINTED range of 0, but a special power granting a range of 6 or more (as if statement in the power). Can the character choose to use CCE or RCE, or would the character have to use the Special Power to get RCE?

i.e.Gravity (SI) gets Incap as if range were 8. Blazam! gets EE as if range were 6. Sauron can use PW as if his range were 10.
Warlord (75th) can make range attacks as if he had a range of 6.

On all but Warlord I would have said no to RCE, but I know Ambidexterity would work for all those powers even before the no-pre-req-assign-feats-but-pre-req-to-use-feats rule.

The Power Gem relies on your printed range value, not a range value given by special powers.

OK, then doesn't the generator add 2 after everything else? So I would be subject to the rule of three when it came to the Gauntlet, and Mjolnir, keeping my damage to a nice healthy 8, BUT after I hit him with the gnerator, wouldn't it be a 10?

Objects increase the damage value. So they are subject to the rule of 3 like everything else that modifies a combat values.

No. Objects add to the character's Damage Value, and as such, are subject to the Rule of 3.

Crit hits, however, add to the Damage Dealt-- so if a Superman with +3 to his Damage Value rolled a Crit Hit, he would deal 9 Damage, total.

Notice the absence of the word 'printed' in the second sentence. Not to be snarky, but I knew what I was asking when I asked it. This makes me think that figs like Warlord can use both.

A character can't ever use both. Either its printed range is 4 or less or its printed range is 5 or more.

No, 4 or less gets CCE. 5 or more gets RCE.

I'm seeing the word printed in both sentences. Maybe you got the wording from a different source, hence the confusion?

I was reading the Units section for the text and assumed it was worded correctly. How bout somebody update that?

Never ever use the Units section for rules related questions. The site's mods/admins do an admirable job keeping it up to date, but mistakes happen. WK's download section has all the relevant material (rulebook, PAC, PG, print and play, etc) available for free.

We have no control over the units section. If you have a request/correction to make in that regards, contact the proper moderators.

That will be one demarate on your file for using the units section for rules.... Don't let it happen again.
