max die of 1 will help with the overpower problem of prior SRs (Tsarina, Gobby)
Those are the two SR that were over the top.
There are a lot of cards better than all the other Super Rares.
Are you saying all the good cards should be Max 1 Dice?
Tsarina is best with 4 dice, but Gobby can get by with less.

Only 2 of the 8 Super Rares are worth that money.
The YGO Super Rares have purchase costs of 8,8,8, 6.
And high fielding costs for the most part.
When people used those, it was gonna be with few dice anyways.

Yes, those stats will limit their playability. My comment was made/posted before I knew the purchase costs of the dice. Some "completionists" will still pay through the nose to get these - I'm not playing that game, at least, not with this set.
No, was not saying that all SR are best with 1 die from a playability standpoint - completely agree that Tsarina is "best" with max dice because of how cheap they are to purchase and to field - she, paired with Johnny Storm, is just brutal.
But max=1 does force some "balance" by making the SR less key to the game. So I think it's a good idea for the "meta".

But not good for the company trying to sell the product.
They want their high rarity cards to be desirable.
They want people to "chase" after the hard to get cards.
To maybe buy more packs than they would have.
And stores want to sell packs.
They love it when players buy more packs.
WizKids is probably going to do whatever makes them the most money.

Well, that allows them to make them overpowered, and then be able to say "yeah, but you can only have one".
Sort of how they do with uniques/primes in clix.
i also don't mind 1 die on an 8 cost, overpowered card.
remember when ygo clix had a really bad distro model never seen outside of them and everyone figured it was some part of the license?
i feel like this might be the same thing
Honestly no. I thought about getting into the YGO clix stuff, but it was nearing the end of my Clix time so my excitement was waning already. Would you mind explaining what the distribution was like?

imagine a full normal booster set., srs, chases, etc. like 60 figures
now put it in single figure foil packs as a gravity feed for $3 a pop
as there is now another thread with actual "my dice don't have the serial number they need to have", the horror show has entered the theaters, and this speculative thread can be buried.
